I am such a noob to this site that I don't even know how to put an avatar on my profile yet, hopefully I am not too much of a noob to join this competition. I am in if you'll accept me!!!! I got a SolarStorm 400w that is dying for some competition, all I need to do is find the room to stick a dixie cup in.

I'm in also. This sounds very interesting. If we go hydro can we start out in rockwool or rapid rooters? I remember a post saying they had to be in the keg cups the WHOLE time. I guess i could just put my rockwool physically inside the cup while it germs! Lol I'm also not opposed to just going soil.

Got you signed up. You can either germ in a paper towel and transfer directly to the party cup, or you can germ in the cup. If you want rockwool, that's fine but it will take up quite a bit of space in your party cup.

Sounds good to me on the party cup and germ date.. Will there be a 2nd place, and a 3rd place? Just wondering..

I was thinking about doing a silver and bronze prize, but not sure yet. I'm not made of money so unless we get some sponsors soon, 2nd and 3rd would have to be small prizes. I'll think about it.

HAHA!! I say we start on Dec 1st as well!! there is enough of us already I got 3 seeds that I had in one of my Agent Orange that I am anxious to try, I dont know how they ended in there but they are beautiful seeds and I am sure they will grow beautiful pot.

Perhaps we can start a bit earlier since we have a lot of people signed up, how about germ around the 15th before the holidays?

18 so far. I'm surprised at how many are signing up! I think we have enough to start earlier than I first expected, so what does everyone think about germing between the 15th and 25th? Gives everyone enough time to get seeds?

I am in for early germination!!

I think if you want everyone you might have to leave registration open until January 5th for people away during holidays, ... that would make a 3 weeks difference between the early birds and the late ones ... it would give the early birds the chance to start more seeds if they fuck up or dont like what they see! Anyway just a thought but I am ready!!

Ok guys, since there's a lot of you anxious to get started, I think we can do a 3 week veg window, starting 12/15 and ending 1/5. This means you have to have your seeds started germing by 1/5 or you're out. I also think it's a good idea to have everyone write on their cup the germ date, and the date they pop out of the cups. Also write the name of the strain on the cup for all to see. Thanks.

minimum is 1, max you can germ is 5 but keep only 1 once they determine sex. flexible on the germ 5, i know some have bad luck with m/f ratios so let me know how many you want the max germ limit to be. shit a million dollar prize would be nice wouldn't it? 1st place is going to be a led light, not sure which one yet but it won't be a p.o.s. i promise you that. 2nd and 3rd i'm thinking either seeds or gift/prepaid card.

It will be similar to how the last competition was judged, based on yield, overall looks/health of plant, bud beauty etc. more details on that later. Yes, you can certainly use fem seeds.
