Selling to dispensaries in Michigan?

of course they do.

The problem is that dispensaries are overloaded with product, so they can/will turn you away. NTM what they pay is not that good, and what they charge is outrageous(IMO).
 
Whats the real deal here? djwimbo says that people do but they are overloaded with product. Djwimbo what is the pay like and do you know a state that would be better than michigan? And that guy113 says that people only make donations with compensation.
 
Take care in getting any compensation (direct or indirect) for transfers to anyone other than your registry associated patients. This is currently before the Mich Supreme Court- which is likely to confirm transfers for compensation to your registered patients only. Until then the seller can be charged with a criminal offense. Win or lose, you are still charged and have to defend yourself.

That said, use your judgement and remember if you plan on making big money being a caregiver, you are probably going to come to grief. Look at it as a way to pay for your hobby and help a few patients (up to 5), not a commercial business.

This is a baseless statement - no one really knows for sure how they will rule, though they did unanimously junk the CoA's last ruling, and the McQueen one was certainly a stretch.

Your urging caution is, however, prudent, and I would do the same.

I'm just making a statement of probability based on the opinion of legal experts. Like everyone, I am waiting to see what they say.

There's many legal experts who believe it will go the other way as well. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, your urging caution is again prudent and commendable.

I agree just because it's there doesn't make it so, I know it will happen but it hasn't yet.

I myself see the dispensary getting in trouble before the patient but you are ripping yourself off like others said, they will want to give you dirt cheap prices $100-$150/oz and resell it or $250-400+ and most won't even buy it unless you have a large quantity, rare strains, or just really good dank, if you think it's a way to earn money it is, but you could do much better instead of giving it away unless of course you would rather deal with one person, or quick way to do it including a little safer.

There's a LOT of grey area, and that is the problem. The problem/s we have in this area may be different than your area, and can/will change between counties.

Dispensaries in the area usually "sell" for 45-60/3.5, which IMHO is too damn much... and why I'm here, to learn how to grow my own. I have no intention of commercial production, and would be very cautious to even take on the responsibility of caregiver to five people.
"A state that would be better than Michigan?" = Colorado ... and I'm very tempted to move back there.

Transfers to non-medical patients is 2yrs +/= $2000 fine. With a decent setup, 2-3 plants will easily put you over your state allowance of 2.5oz, so what are we to do with our excess? Last I heard (I need to confirm this) patient to patient transfer was not allowed.

As others have stated, use caution and read up on your laws. (don't quote me as fact, when a couple phone calls could be all the leg-work you need)

$100-150/oz? WTF? Even in California, which is about as saturated of a market as you can get, you can still get $3200 for a pound of top shelf - that's $200/oz, bulk rate.
 
I'm a stinker! So I would go into dispies with samples. Get em on the counter,then never agree to their prices. Every time at least one of there patients became mine in the parkin lot. Once was their budtender ;)

LOL, that's badass. I find I can punch my ticket at 200-250/oz wherever I've been so far. I can get that at a disp and I can' really REALLY get that at a farmer's market. money talks and bullshit.... sits in the shelf brah. don't kid yourself there are many many shelves and maybe you're not as close to the tippy top as you thought if you're having issues under 200/oz. jsut saying.
 
HARD old school. Yeah that pretty well describes it aye? 1 fuck-up and you get a new boyfriend in the prison shower.

So when these dispies pop up, or others new MMJ profiteers I kinda feel a tad Pissy. I think it is up to us to regulate them, not LEO. Prices to high? I'll set in the bar across the parking lot and cut their throats with free samples. Word of mouth was all we had before. Still works wonders. IMHO of course
 
Punklize those are good prices. Does anyone think a person with just migraines can get a medical card?
