Isnt it all about god? I only know a couple AA'ers but from what i can see its all about giving yourself up to god. Kindof admiting you are powerless without him and becoming a religous nut.

and to top it off it's success rate is less than 5% abstinence after a year
about the same as people who choose to quit without AA

I used to be a God fearing man, until the Lord broke me down to nothing. Numerous times. Now I'm just resentful for putting my faith in him. Am I blessed? Hell no.

Unfortunately... it sucks to be right. I put a lot of faith in the lord... and... after 10 years.. feel very let down by it.
