No doubt, not the only guy with an attitude .... but if I didn't know better I'd think it was the second coming of Buddy Ganja.

One ass-hat comment after another.

lol i think he was just trying to stick his chest out a lil bit we are all dicks at some point ...very uncool to claim to be a skinhead

Hey Stump..... The majority of Mi sitting and collecting welfare and unemployment??? Really ??? 80,000 dollars ? Really??? Wow I think you could have and should have left that part out bro..... But as always we are still good Stump.

Edited to add..... Not the economy here isnt that bed. I just think it was in bad taste to suggest that a majority of MI are just sitting on their ass collecting anything.

Oh but there are.. We've had help wanted ads out for 3 weeks now through MI Works, want to take a guess at how many applications we've received? Here's a hint, I called a guy up that quit working for us to go somewhere else and talked him into coming back because I needed someone so bad.

This country is turning in to a government dependent, socialistic society. Just like they want it to. I just read a think on the news, they added up Welfare benefits, the monthly check, bridge card, insurance etc.. It rounded out to an average size family (family of 4 I believe) making $80,000 a year. Or even more depending on how much they go to the dr and medical issues etc.

I know quie a few business owners looking for help, they also can't een get people to bring in applications, the ones that do purposely fuck up the interview so they don't get hired, just to satisfy Marvins requirements.

It is what it is. Thank your president.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. If a minimum wage worker is employed full-time (forty hours per week for 52 weeks), that worker would earn $15,080 annually.

In 2011, the poverty threshold for a single individual was $11,702 and the poverty threshold for a family of 4 with two children under 18 was $22,881.

If welfare benefits are 533% higher than minimum wage I believe we have a problem :o

I just read Stump's want ad and I think I see a problem:

"Wanted: horseshit logistics coordinator; Must have min. 2 yrs. exp. with a shovel and/or pitchfork."

Serious though - the welfare people better not be making $80K a year - I sure hope that's not true.
I mean what's the point of taking a job if the State will pay that kind of coin?
Not even the highest unemployment (auto workers in Michigan get more) is that much.
If I didn't have self-respect left I would want to be on welfare at that rate.
Shit - that would be a raise for the likes of me.

LOL!! Jesus murphy stump, I hope you got that info from a bathroom stall or something!! The reality of the situation is that 80% of people that are collecting food stamps have a JOB! They still fall below the poverty line, so they are eligible to collect food stamps.

I will not deny that there are people that abuse the system. Just like there are rich fucks that abuse the system, hide their money in off-shore accounts, and pay an effective tax rate on their millions equivalent to someone making 25k a year. I don't like the idea of people sitting around collecting welfare for no good reason, but I have a much bigger problem with the corporate welfare in this country. Are you more outraged at some woman in Detroit scamming the system for $9,000 a year in welfare, or Exxon Mobile getting BILLIONS of dollars in corporate subsidies (welfare) each and every year?

No I have no problem with people working and getting food stamps. I DO have a problem with people sitting home collecting benifits instead of applying for available jobs.. I hear so many guys out on the lake joking how nice it is to be able to fish every day and get marvin, it's sickening..

Talk to some business owners looking for help.. We weren't looking to fill a $10 an hour position either, I'm talking skilled trades..

The oil industry is a whole different subject.. Of course it pisses me off. It's been that way for a long time.

Unemployment benefits and welfare are two completely different things stump. Which are you referring to? People pay in to unemployment as a payroll tax, and when laid off can collect those benefits. Yeah, I hear of people opting to stay on unemployment longer than necessary too. Usually because by the time you factor in commutes/gas, they end up making less if they were to go back to work. I don't know many people that choose to be more poor, have less things, and not be able to provide for their family. This is largely a bullshit talking point trotted out by politicians.

Or just have our country get the fuck out of everyone else's business and quit bombing shit and their will be enough money left over to buy all of us food and probably get everyone off the oil too!

I've been thinking about this thread for some reason; like I said I have no skin in the game of dispensaries.
But

Someone that read the bill they are supposedly getting ready to pass said they will Grandfather existing facilities?

It really bugs me that maybe these letters are intended to drive everyone out of business before the new bill would become law?
I'm thinking about what Woodsmantoker said how the letters are not C&D for the entire business - just the part of it covering MM transfers.
But most of the dispensary operators would not have enough business left to stay open I imagine.
So it's a quasi-legal method of running out current operators before the Legislators get to write the rules of engagement.

I've never been to a dispensary.
I wouldn't know much about how they operate, etc.
But they are a vital link for many patients and casual users with cards.
Therefore I was looking forward to some sort of bill eventually that would make that option available.

But then they went and screwed with the law and now the MSC has ruled against P2P.
The dispensary folks lobby has screwed us pretty bad already; maybe they are taking it in the rear this time around.
I read that book "Animal Farm" by Orwell when I was a kid.
In the story the pigs let the wolves into the barn at night because they swore they had changed and wanted to work together.
Then the wolves ate the pigs.

The biggest pity of the ruling was that we had Green saying free p2p was fine. But they had to push for sales, and in the course of it we lost Green. There are no sales in the Act. Never was. Should have let that one lie. I hope no one is foolish enough to try and push it to the federal level.
