It was pretty great! Eric of Pure Michigan Genetics won the Indica catagory with Krishna (blue god) so big congratulations to my boy! The guys said there were 20+ strains testing over 20% and it was the best entries so far for them this time thru. I believe it too-still not sure whats up with the results on Ironlabs website but they should be public soon. vendors were great lots of great people and pure michigan genetics gave out over 70 seed packs for free. Scored some shirets some root enhancer stuff, Drew got a octopot to do a test run on. I should have some new organic additives to journal a side by side with and without so I can share the results on here of that new product when it gets here. Had alot of fun, helped the guys at PMG get the name out and get seeds into the hands of growers. All in all it was pretty sweet. I'll be back next time.

Check out the results! Not to sound like a sour grapes dickhead but I think I got robbed on the impromptu highest CBD catagory-still congrats to Tora bora but I clearly won with my Acid entry LOL.

Thats pretty weak unless that Tora Bora such an amazing smell and taste that it just had to win. You had it beat in CBD content (which should be really all that matters in this category) and completely smashed it in THC and total cannabinoids. Oh well man, thats just how it goes with these things...

I'm really surprised GLCCC didn't enter his Cannatonic X, his cut is arguably the high CBD strain in the entire nation. Even though it doesn't smell nearly as good as mine lol!

I'm not a hater. I didn't get to touch the Tora or anything else the after party I heard about was actually a pre party that I missed :(

I went Saturday, seemed decent. Kinda squished/small, but it functioned without serious complication.

I can't say I was very social, I looked at the product demos and stuff, but I didn't show up to buy stuff. Not sure if it was cancelled, or if somehow I just missed it, but I didn't get to see the cooking demo/presentation(I was there at the right time). Some other dude was on stage and sounded like he was a terrible presenter.

I scored one of those wooden cases from this guy http://www.lexcocase.com/ ... Who looked a lot like a tall & skinny Bubbles to me. He even had the right glasses, and lives in the UP.

So I guess Scott's OG took 1st place. Scott and mrs. Rd got a nice email from the winners. Were you able to check out other competitors wares?

YEP, it was pretty stiff comp too Rare D. Results are all posted and searchable on ironlabs website. So many high THC strains 20%+, crazy. was surprised to see only 2 CBD strains though.

Hey all! We (Draig and I) Were there- actually our 1st Conference- but were covering it for a story in the MMMR (the Sponsors)
Had a Great time- and yes, I agree- smaller/darker than we expected- however, we were told it was because Grand Rapids wanted to use it as a "Test drive" before they'd allow a larger venue in the future.

Got TONS of Swag! OMG! People handing us stuff left and right! Didn't see/hear about the free seeds- were there from the start both days-- But Draig got real ill (we're both Med patients for a reason! LOL!) and we missed the presentation of the Cup awards-- anyone that could fill us in on presenters/winners/placers I'd really appreciate it!

The Band Saturday night was decent- but I was really disappointed in some of the Seminars/classes. In one-- one of the 3 Gentlemen was rather rude to people asking questions and clearly thought he was 'above' the other presenters- as he wouldn't interact with them and stayed as far away as he could... IMO- NOT a good attitude for this type of venue! He was making people uncomfortable.
And I hate to say it- But Draig and I had to almost "run the show" at one point, since no one would ask questions! (Except a rude vendor who came up and hassled the speakers in order to troll for customers!) Unfortunately- we had to ask what people always ask us, to see what their opinions were, and a lot of the time, no one could answer the questions!?
I think Next Year we may see if we can offer a "Beginners Growing Q & A " Seminar- If it's in Grand Rapids.

But that said- we had a great time, and saw such a wonderful mix of people-- all walks of life, all ages, all with different reasons for being there-- and NEVER ONCE saw or heard ANYONE being nasty or rude (except what I already mentioned) and was SHOCKED at the number of people there to get their license! There was not only a long line the entire time at the Convention- but then when they were shipped/drove over to the Hotel to see the Doc- the line was there almost all night!!

Hat's off to the Crew who ran it- especially that Med staff- they worked their buns off!!!

Hope we saw some of ya there! If so-- Nice to meet ya! ;)

I like this idea. As much as I think it will separate the true DIY'rs from the idiots as well, some people need to be told to keep buying and forget growing.
