I've got a chance to have an interview with this company next week and am worried about which drug test they used, I've heard that many have had mouth swabs but once in a while I hear about a urinalysis. For people hired by Costco and smoke herb, what did you encounter and how did you get around it?

lol got a cousin that works there. she says most likely it will be mouth swab but if for some reason you dont pass that then then they send you to a facility to get tested. just dont smoke that day and brush your teeth and whole mouth real good. and use mouth wash you should be fine.

or better yet. now that you know you have an interview lined up. don't smoke at all until the interview if you can help it. meaning you smoke for an aliment and not just for recreation.

I used to work there. Mouth swab. Stop smoking for a week before the test. If you want the job get a wizz kit. Hair is not going to happen. Thats a fucking super expensive test.

Do they actually pay well? Probably the last job I'd want hehe

to my knowledge they are an awesome company to work for and pay very well. the people i know who worked there say that almost everyone starts out pushing carts and works their way up to other positions. something about remembering where they came from. pretty much everyone in every position "earned it". i never met a disgruntled employee from there, and to me that's a big deal.

Isn't costco under investigation for selling counterfeit goods?
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/15/nyregion/a-tiffany-at-costco-not-now-or-ever-tiffany-lawsuit-says.html?_r=0

The discount warehouse chain Costco got something from Tiffany for Valentine’s Day: a lawsuit claiming it had sold diamond engagement rings falsely marketed in stores using the jeweler’s name.

The lawsuit, filed on Thursday in Federal District Court in Manhattan, says a shopper complained to Tiffany late last year “that she was disappointed to observe that Costco was offering for sale what were promoted on in-store signs as Tiffany diamond engagement rings.”
In an investigation, the lawsuit says, Tiffany found that Costco salespeople referred to the rings as Tiffany, but that the rings were not promoted as such online. The suit says, “Tiffany has never sold nor would it ever sell its fine jewelry through an off-price warehouse retailer like Costco.”
As a result, the suit says, there are “hundreds if not thousands of people who mistakenly believe they purchased and own a Tiffany engagement ring from Costco.”

I just want a job with little to no responsibility and decent pay and most importantly health insurance and dental. I'm in my early 30's so it would be nice to work with people my age. Costco offers all that for me. Yeah it may not be a great career line but I've been there done that operating my own contracting company and climbing the corporate ladder at another and I'll tell ya what, the measly 50k a year isn't worth the headaches and long hours. Between a Costco income and my grow op I should still be pulling in over 80k a year so I'm okay with that.

Thanks for the helpful input for the people who answered my question.
