okay...so it depends on where in the world you are....but I'll assume the northern hemisphere, so each day gets longer until about June 22....then starts to decline which will trigger your plant into maturity (boy or girl).

In my experience from where I live in North America, I'm able to confirm gender by about mid July

I would put it into the ground.
From my own outdoor experience; plants in the ground grew to be allot healthier and bigger than plants in a container.
This was over the course of a four year outdoor grow and the results were consistent every time.

Edit:
Let her grow and you will be surprised at how big an outdoor plant can get.
Also since you are outdoors you might want to plant a couple of more to be sure you get a female. You still have plenty of time, but you might want to start them soon.

Wow man, please do some of your own research. It's questions like this that prevent the rest of us new growers from getting answers to legit questions from experienced growers. It's obvious you did not spend 1 minute googling any of these questions. If I didn't know any of these answers, I'd be able to find them on google within 2 minutes. Please, try to carry your own weight. Anyways, your plant is looking pretty good for outdoors. At four weeks, you should be able to top. Don't ask us how to top, go do a quick youtube search on "how to top your cannabis plant". It'll be very good for your plant and it is SUPER easy. Also, what nutes are you using or plan to use? As for putting her in the ground, I'd say put your plant right in the ground. Dig up a hole about 2' (2 feet) down and 2' wide. Fill it up with good soil (what kind of soil are you gonna use?).. maybe some perlite, then pop her in the ground. I just put a plant outside myself
