8 watt led

No. At least 100 watts of cfls. 150 of mh/hps just because I haven't found smaller. And about 80-100 of a proper led with 3 watt chipsets in the proper spectrum. While weed will grow like a weed, you must have at least these for a decent finished product. And I don't mean amazing or high grade but simply decent.
 
Putting a 100 watt replacement cfl in box. Have to fire proof it then dint like heat from cfl in this small box
 
With a 1x1x1 any way you could get a small 1x1 piece of glass from Home Depot and put that between your light and plant with a small fan blowing on top? Just throwing ideas at ya!!
 
With a 1'cu. Box you don't have many options, 2 42w cfls will barely get you a yield. Is there any reason in Particular your growing anyways? With the money you spend on supplies you could easily buy the equivalent of weed.
 
I just like growing. I like seeing the outcome. I used to do larger grows but kids are older now and I don't want them seeing right now. So I'm going in a 1x1x1 cube speaker box. I will use a large cfl at 100 watts real output and a 23 watt cfl 100 watt equiv. if I get a little more than an eigth I'm happy. I have an Auto#1 in my windowsill now at a week old. Time to get out of window.

That's the bulb. It's a grow bulb. I bought it. Not here yet but really want some time to use. I just completed my grow box. Have to get some black strip foam to block the light from speaker hole. Right now I just black electrical taped it. Hope no one notices it before I dress it up good. Ill take pics probably tomorrow.
 
I can't be the only one that actually wants to watch this grow. I don't know that I've ever watched a small grow like this. Could be fun. Are you going to run a journal? You know, there's also that solo cup autoflower contest going on, GetNice. Think about it.

Absolutely this is a journal. I'm going to keep this thread going as the official "Auto #1" feminized grow journal. My cabinet is awesome but need to refine the barrier around speaker grate for no light leaks. Right now it's okay but taped I don't want that I want it unnoticeable even with a hard stare.
 
If you have an ikea they now sell led bulbs cheap . A 100 watt equiv led bulb was like $19 used like 15 watts or 20watts i forget break down. But 3 or 4 of those get pretty bright no heat and they offer 3 color spectrums.
 
I don't have room for more than two bulbs. I believe I will get excellent results with this tiny set up. It's ultra bright. I will fine tune it and post pics early tomorrow. Given my kids give me time alone. Lol
 
Here's the box from outside notice the tape. Have to clean this up. Looks tacky and strange. Lol
