I must disagree. Noone knows with absolute certainty how this will shake out yet. WHY? because it hasn't taken effect and is not being used yet.
The best we have at this point is propaganda put out by both sides for and against it.
Mostly against, by insurance companies who rule business owners and how they run their business'
all I know for sure is that big business is against obamacare. This right here makes me want it even more.
I am absolutely certain that NO big business has MY best interests in mind.

Think about what were told about it, and so far what is true and what is already false keeping in mind that it hasn't really even started good. Being EXTREMELY generous I'd say they are batting about 1 for 4. With those odds I choose to not believe them.

from what I understand about it, it will not negatively impact me and mine too much. In fact my family will benefit as I am self employed.
Yes, I may take a bit of a hit on my tax return and I am good with that.

So big business is against it, small business is against it, health care providers are against it, economists are against it.
CEOs of hospitals are for it, Insurance subsidy giants are drooling over it. Big Pharma has a Big Boner over it.

Amen to this. I think if you look at the problems though, we just exacerbated them. If the evil genius plan was to bankrupt the system so we could blow it up and start over, this bill is how I would start. If the plan was to bring down costs and improve access we fucked up.

As I stated earlier, perhaps your time would be better spent trying to figure out how to make the most of this situation instead of bitching about it on RIU...
bottom line,
streamlining medical billing and such= good thing
covering preexisting conditions= good thing
getting health care to millions of previously uncovered americans=good thing
breaking the grip of the insurance companies=good thing
It's happening folks................get used to it.

This was a cluster fuck from the beginning but it's going to hit government employees and Unions the hardest so maybe some good will come of it and sink the democratic regime.

not sure I agree with this. Most of this misinformation was put forth by companies looking to undercut this program before it even starts. Gotta make ya wonder.
Look, I could be very wrong, so could you, we just don't know yet because everything is just speculation at this point. Yes, there are people on both sides "predicting" what will happen. I am sure there will be "bumps in the road" but in the end I truly believe this is for the best.
Why can other countries do this and be successful yet we cannot? I believe we can.
