Actually I've seen other reports that say about the same thing. There are "experts" in the field that say they are covering up important details about the leakage. The so called expert that I saw was pretty fucking worried. To me I don't give a fuck because I'll be dead before this gets out of hand but I do have some lingering relatives that won't like it one bit. Unless you are nuclear scientist you don't have any fucking idea either. You just spout off some right wing bullshit without even checking the facts. Climate change is a lot different than poisonous radiation pouring into our oceans.

that's just what is leaking into the ocean every day due to contaminated groundwater. They have lots and lots of highly contaminated cooling water in storage tanks.75k gallons of water is quite literally a drop in the proverbial bucket.

Go look at pictures of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki today and realize we bombed the shit out of them and made them nuclear wastelands about 70 years ago. Now go look at pictures of Detroit today and realize that they have been under Democratic rule for about the same period of time.

My conclusion is that Democrats are FAR more dangerous than radiation...

Everyone loves to deal in scare tactics. To the right we get the hand wringing about how "our children and THEIR children are going to have to foot the bill". or if we try to fix global warming we will destroy our economy, Social security will break us alllllll. Obama Care will be the end of civilized society.

And most of them are nuts.

but then we hear the left. "RADIATON!!", global warming will lay waste to the planet, GMOs will turn us all into half human half guppy.


Is that any different really? I would genuinely like to see a calm discussion over each of these doomsday scenarios. I am certain that nothing is as bad as anyone makes it out to be nor as safe as the naysayers claim.

I read somewhere that since the end of WWII six million people world wide have died from the effects of radiation emitted into our environment by nuclear testing. Actuarily, perhaps they are correct but 70 years and 7 billion people on the planet at any one time sort of makes that figure inconsequential.


I have other things to worry about than radiation poisoning in my tuna.

"we've taken half the salt out of our tuna" was their claim when the reality was that they simply put less than half the amount in in the first place.
