you'll get a crop, but it wont be too sticky... you need the reds and oranges for flowering energy to get translated...

off hand... when using environlights from home depot as side lighting, it DOES fatten the buds up...

i got 3 beans just germinating , all three starting too emerge will plant them soon. so looks like 250w blue for veg, then 250w red for flowering. do you think the light will be enough for good yields, its in a melar coated grow tent so no light wasted. ill see about doing a grow jornal, are you doing 1 bro

When you go into flowering use both the Blue & the Red if possible, all light is good. Growing Lowlife AK47? I will be following your journal closely if you do one. I will start one as soon as i germ the seeds, i have a 3 day trip starting on the 30th so i will start them straight after that. Good luck on the grow bro.

good piont, just ordered the 250w for £45 off ebay. planted the seeds in soil yesterday, germed them in a towel till a little tail appeared then planted them. any idea how long it takes for the stem to appear above soil, its been about 30hrs since i planted no sign yet.
Did you buy the Envirolite one? I have a 125 Envirolite, but im buying these types now Red 250w Hydroponics CFL & hanger grow light lamp bulb on eBay, also Hydroponics, Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 20-Jun-08 10:13:00 BST). They are like, half the price. And they should be above soil in 1-3 days.

yeh got the envirolite ones, i was going to get them no brand ones but read this enviro-gro-lites - Stuff 2: Un-Branded CFL's it mite be nothing but i just paid the extra for peace of mind, you can always ebay them when your finished with them, ive seen them selling for £30 used for a 200w. when your bulb comes youl be shocked at the size,there like the daddy of light bulbs lol. they give off some heat too, hot to touch. hope the link helps

Wow, that article is actually pretty informative, thanks! I can see it being true as well, as the unbranded ones are a lot cheaper. I think I'm gonna go for a 250 HPS now instead.
