Possible but probably not likely on your first grow. Have you ever grown anything before? If you have it might help. I honestly have no idea about hydro as I havent used it. You would have to do a large amount of plants and probably more light. 1200 Watts would be enough for about 12 plants, you could possibly reach what you want would probably take a little longer tho.
If you do manage 60 oz with 1200w in 3 months please share how with us all lol
Dont count on it man, hopes are waaayyyy to high, since this is your 1st grow who knows if itll even finish all the way to the harvest ,especially aero, try 6 600 watts ,5x10, 100 plants, some good or decent nutes ,C02, AND MAYBE youll have a chance, well way better than you original plan atleast
Thanks for the inputs but I said kill the dream not the idea, to be fair 60 is way too much I know but what about 20-30 ounces, let's say 5 aeropots, critical mass = 1000watt light x sog training. My main concern is to hit big but not goin over the radar for the bacon machine patrolling in the skies or on electricity meter..either way thanks for the realistic comments, means a Lott to me.
1g per watt * 1000w = 35.274 oz
I've only ever seen a few people hit 1g per watt, it's usually .5 or below. So being realistic
.5g per watt * 1kw = 500g = 17.6oz
.3g per watt * 1kw = 300g = 10.5oz
Not planning on ever using soil again,it was such a long ass process
1g per watt * 1000w = 35.274 oz

How many plants would you say is suitable for 1000 watts in a big closet ?

A good soiless mix or coir does not affect the process time significantly. The advantage of hydro is a potentially better yield and it is automated. Aero is basically inflexible and works best for highly uniform plants going directly into flowering stage. If one plant gets sick, they all do. Extended power outage? It's all over. What about rockwool in an ebb and flow setup? That gives you a water buffer in case of power failure (and you can reposition the plants as needed).
Lots of people get 1 gpw, especially in SOG with high plants numbers and vertical with either big plants, or high plant numbers.
1 - 225 plants.
Well it's not so much about the how big the closet is but how large the light is. A 1000 watt bulb can cover a maximum of 5x5sqft so try to aim your grow to fit in a 5x5sqft area. I put 6 plants in 5 gallon pots under a SCROG for my current grow, the net is 4x4.5sqft. The plants grew so much more than I expected that now I'm wishing I just went with 4 plants in 7 gallon pots each. Like many answers for questions about cannabis, the answer is "it depends". If it were me, I'd get that closet set up with proper ventilation and throw a screen in there with 4 plants in 7 gallon pots and train those bad boys.
Now for the bad news, you probably won't ever get that yield with 1200 watts. I've never heard of that happening and frankly, I don't even know if it's possibleThe general rule of thumb for yields seems to be a maximum of 2.2lbs which is around 35oz if I'm not mistaken? If I make a suggestion? If you're looking to make a grip of money with growing, please make sure you have a job and that your grow is your back up plan. I tried starting out that way and the stress made it impossible to grow properly. When you have a job, your plants dying isn't as big of a deal because your life doesn't count on you selling them since you have an income from your job. I don't know your experience with growing and I'm not trying to be a douche at all, just making a suggestion
