Advanced Nutrients feed chart

I googled around a little and failed to easily find a proper feed chart for AN Grow-Micro-Bloom. I was looking for something similar to what BioBizz has.
I can remember seing one that told me to give equal amounts of all three components thru veg and flowering, but that doesn't seem to make any sense. Then I ran into a Youtube video of a grower who used Jungle Juice and only Grow-Micro during vegging and Bloom-Micro during flowering.
So how does it go again?

Ya I just picked up AN Jungle GMB still having trouble figuring out how much to add to 10 gallons of water? I got 6 5 gallon buckets and a 5 gallon res so I give it ten gallons, works out to about 1 and a half gallon per bucket but going by there cal I pretty much have to use like a quarter liter of G, M and B. Seem's like wayyyy to much.

At that rate it would cost me a 120.00 a grow for nute's damn, But I hear this shit is real good.

AN's 3 part should be used as follows... Micro, Grow and 1/4 strength bloom. for veg stage. Example 2mls. per litre micro, grow to .50mls per litre of bloom. Flower is basically the opposite, example: 2mls. micro, bloom to .50mls. grow. This cycle has been developed by 12 different growers that I service their gardens. The actual rates with be different for different strains. I have never seen AN used at rates higher than 2.5mls. per litre. Their online schedule is there but not required. With any 2 or 3 part systems it is best to add them one at a time and mix in between, at least until you know how they will react in your environment. Hope this helps. JAS

So you are very familiar with AN's line then as rumored.

Btw +rep

I am very aware of AN, GH, HG. I have been to all their operations in north America. My last job before I became sick, I serviced most of their lab equipment and with my background in farming, nutrients naturally intrigued me. I learnt more about Botany and plant life cycles in the last 10 years on my own then I did when I received my degree in Botany. I understand the need for easy to use nutrient lines and have seen first the hand quality control. They all rock! If you understand the plants needs you can supply everything they need using other elements, now a days people want pour and go(throw away society). This is where the huge arguments come from. Mine is always better than yours mentality. Different strokes for different folks, I say. Your no better of a grower one way or another, the key is learning the curve. JAS

Get an ec meter and keep the value at about 1.2 for vegging plants and 1.8 for flowering, minus the ec of your pure water.
OK, I got the AN nutrients calculator here: http://www.advancednutrients.com/hydroponics/calc/
Just what I was out for. What I don't understand is why GMB is a three-part formula. I usually mix them together before adding them to the reservoir anyway.

Dont mix them together without diluting them first.

I use AN MGB 3-part nutes for hydro. What I do is make a solution in a 1 liter container of water with a lid, at half strength. When it's time to service my res (which I do twice a day) I first look at the water level and figure if I need to add water. Then I check my ppm level. I then pour enough of the solution in to reach the ppm level I'm looking for, mixing the res up vigorously, and then I top off with water. I check the ppm level again and adjust a bit. Then I check ph and adjust for that.

I believe the nutes are a three part formula because if mixed together and stored for periods of time, some of the nutes lose their potency. When you mix them fresh, they'll be available to the plant. But don't quote me on that. I'm trying to remember the reason, and I think that was it.

Well I guess if I have any questions about AN's nute's YOU will be the man I contact first. Nice to know thx.

I had a look at your Jillybean grow,, Very nice for a first timer but I was getting 3 zips a plant in dirt so this time around I hope to double my yield(6, 5 gallon bucket DWC in a 4x4 tent with a 600 watt hybrid)so that should be around 36 zips. First time with DWC for me so I am excited to see how my plants will do.

^^^Thanks -- I definitely think you should be able to get close to your goal. Everything in my grow is smaller -- 3.5 gallon buckets, in a 2x3 tent with 5' in height and 400W. With the extra room and height, you should get close, and it's not your first time growing so you know what to expect and have a game plan.

Have you started? Let me know if you do a journal, I'll subscribe.

Ya they are all sprouted now(2 day's). I fucked up right of the hop I put my drippers on top of my net pots so that the seedlings get more water but sometime in the night one slipped and I lost about 5 gallons of water, lucky the bladder in the tent held it all lol.
I don't know if I will start a journal but just maybe because everyone loves to see how other growers are doing. My biggest deal right now is trying to figure out how much nute's I need to use for ten gallons of water, as it is I know I am way under the right dose(I don't have a ppm meter)because I only used a couple of cap full's of the trio(AN Jungle GMB) also most people say not to salt the plants till your in about 3 weeks in but my experience tells me to give them something at least if not a little. I have grown this particular strain for over 5 years(Kush and thats all that is on the label)so I gave them another run because I know how they will grow, I have also Fem WW that I was going to do this grow with but since it was first time in DWC I went with my old reg kush seeds. I will post a couple of pic's later on today when I get better light(It's dark here right now) and I will start a new thread or a journal and stop hijacking this guy's thread.

Ok, I'll look for your posts in the future. When it came time to add nutes, I sat down with a piece of paper and a pencil and made up a chart of what would be 1/4 strength and 1/2 strength, then 3/4 strength, and full strength is obvious. Once I saw it on paper it all made sense. I did it first per liter, which is the measurement on the bottle and is roughly equivalent to a quart. Then I started multiplying. There are four quarts in a gallon, and I need 2.5 gallons of solution in my 3.5 gallon bucket, so that adds up to 10 quarts in total. Then I'd go back and multiply the amount of solution I needed per liter at each strength level by 10, etc. However, I then got a ppm meter and discovered that to hit 800 ppms, I don't need more than 1/3 strength. Wow. What I need to grow is 1/3 of what it says on the label! So a little more than 1/4 and a little less than 1/2. That's how I ended up with the system I have.

Man, it is waaaay too much. On my first grow I followed AN's directions and did an ok grow. On my second grow I cut way down, feeding just a half of the recommended dose AN advised...and only fed twice per week. Result? A monster yield...and more importantly, absolutely incredible bud -- some of the best I've ever had. Seriously, NEVER follow what AN recommends. Water...water...nutes. And so on. Works a lot better.

Ya I am coming to that conclusion very fast so to take the guess work out I have a PH pen and a PPM meter coming. If indeed I can get away with just half doses than the price don't seem so bad.

AN seems to work pretty well. Far better then soil and BB.
It's no miracle stuff though. A ph meter is good to have even though you'd be using ph perfect products. An ec meter is almost a must. Even if you don't waste much nutrients by changing water, they don't last THAT long and AN is not cheap. Besides, in my experience you don't need to change the water since the plants drink a lot and it's more then enough to fill the hydro up like three times every week. The changing then happens naturally.
So get a capable ec meter or pen or whatever, people, and have at least some idea of how you use the nutrients before you ruin your plans. I think I've already had a case of mild nute burn. Happens easily if you're not careful.
