novice needs help

Hi,
I am in my 5 week of flower and the top coalas of some of my plants are splitting. What am I doing wrong and how can I cure it.

I'd love to see a split top and learn how to replicate it lol. Be a damn cool looking plant, like a devil.

I had one plant that grew that way. It didn't prove to be a positive as neither filled out nicely (about the top 2-3" of the cola)but was fine other than that.

Does it just naturally split or do you have to train it?

If I caused it, I have no idea how. But ultimately it seemed to me like the same size as other tops with twice as much stem. So not a plus.

^it's too bad you didn't try pulling it apart while forming to really give it a split, would have look great. But like you said it only means more stock and less bud so although it is fascinating to look at it is not desirable.
