Here in the Territory, NP are allowed to prescribe limited amounts of medications. It is because we have a lot of outlying communities with nursing stations and they are not all staffed with doctors. As far as I know that is the biggest difference between an nurse and a nurse/practitioner.

I heard cash crop Ken from Peace Natural say that they are hoping to charge $25 per gram for 'elite' strains but only for rich patients. This will help subsidize meds for poor patients...according to him. Guy thinks hes Robin Hood. Dont I subsidize the poor enough through my taxes? This tool thinks people are going to send them their financial statements too. And people wonder why we are pissed? I would rather go to jail than join this new program.
I dare one of the wannabe LP to call HC and DEMAND to know why Kens getting all the patients while the rest of you sit on your hands?

Please tell us why he is running and you all aren't? As for the potential $25 per gram....Heard it right out of his mouth. He shouldnt be bragging to everyone in town about his scam thats for sure. He thinks he pulled one over on HC and ALL us patients and well looks like he did it to me

Yup. Buddy of a family member is already using it to good effect and once the family member gets their MMPR, I expect they'll go the same route. Don't know if it is the 12:0 or 17:1. Eagerly awaiting the 9:9 and whatever else they have in the works. They've looked at the Peace Naturals list and found them too much like a compassion club and anticipate the faulty vending machine compassion club experience, despite the veneer of Quality Control:

I've looked at their list of strains and the corresponding assay results and this is my interpretation:
A. Only rookies report botanical lot results to two decimal places and give no range for the values. The reported values look like the average result from replicates from a single sample, which is not a statistically proper lot release regimen. Except for "Nina", all the other strains have essentially the same amount of CBD and trace levels like that are the hardest to control within a % variance window.
B. If you look at the reported values with an eye trained on batch release and botanical variability, you note that they list 15 names, but based on THC & CBD, only really have four or five types, even if you tighten the spread to 10% instead of the HC-permitted +/-20% on label claim. Keep in mind that they mention aromas in their product descriptions but have no supporting GC data to back them up or ensure you will get the same terpene profile within a lot or between lots, hence the sloppy Compassion Club analogy.

C. I think they kept their product page off of the first level of web viewing because they did not want HC to see their verbiage, which reads to me like it is the kind of unsubstantiated health claims that NHP purveyors are notorious for and TOTALLY what I expected from a bunch of goji-berry pushers like TPNP.

"Using it to good effect", that's it? You sound like a commercial for PPS. Then you slam the other guys? I was hoping to get some first hand info on the product, not an obviously biased negative ad. Your not doing the MMPR any favours with this. Why are you pushing PPS, (Cannimed) so hard? The least you could have done was answer some of the questions posted on this thread. Please describe the marihuana, if you've even seen it.

As I think I mentioned back when I first started posting (I am too lazy to go back and look), I have an extensive pharma/GMP background (over twenty years) and a PhD in Biochemistry. This is the viewpoint I bring and if you do not find it to be of value, I am betting that your operation will be similar what the Peace Naturals so far appears to be: the MM version of a Natural Health Product company, which triggers Red Flag waiving based on my experience. PPS/CL is the only one of the three that appears to be a serious by-the-book GMP operation. Also, I am not a patient but am tracking all this discussion in the hope that it helps me give informed advice to a family member who is in the process of becoming a MMPR client and has friends who are undergoing MMAR-MMPR transition. Unfortunately, I am geographically isolated from them so I can't comment directly on product appearance, etc. but IIRC, it looks like you'd think it would based on the Facebook photo - coarsely milled material with less stem/leaf than an bud that gets ground. You lot might have to get over your biases and realise their stuff might just f/n work for their clients.

Doesn't sound like you use marihuana. If you used marihuana you would understand that there is more to it than just the relief. If you can't stand the taste or smell (skunky beer still has alcohol), or it doesn't roll or smoke properly, and many many other factors, it just sucks. Even bigpharma understands this most of the time, look how much money they spend on stuff to get it down your throat, packaging, and their pretty little coloured pills. With marihuana your bud is your package/pill. Get your friend to post a description. It is not GMP, manufacturing, it is GPP, good production practices. I respect your educated opinion and find it of value, but I think you over stepped your mark when you judge marihuana. I will let the marihuana from each LP speak for it self. Just because it is medicine doesn't mean it should taste bad.

There are plenty of medicines on the market that are unpleasant to the taste, so they don't have to taste good either. Hence the phrase, "take you medicine" as something that has to be endured, not savoured. My beef with a LP that makes a taste claim is that they should figure out what the taste components are and integrate them into the quality process. Same as you would for cherry vs orange cough syrup, chewable aspirin, etc. I've got no problem with them selling based on taste, but back it up with an assay and guarantee it. I am still waiting for a clinical trial that proves one way or t'other that any one of the aroma compounds has any impact on efficacy, which should be the ultimate aim for MM just like it is for any medicine.

Some day in the nearer future than ever before we will know what those percentages actually mean. This might allow us to judge the potency and maybe even put specific marihuana with specific ailments. BUT, these numbers will never replace the "total package". It is like wine, it has it's numbers, how sweet, how much alcohol, but that won't tell you if you'll like it, or if a little to much will make you sick. The numbers are more of a novelty at this stage. Showing the numbers is interesting, but paints a very blurry picture of what really is available. We need a "chronic" to give us the "lowdown" on the "weed", nothing else will resonate with patients. I do not agree with your assessment of Peace Naturals marihuana, just can't be done on numbers and "good result" (even though your throat is sore and it made you cough up a lung, while running your bic out of fuel because it wouldn't burn).

Your talking about getting an orange tested to make sure it taste like orange? We are not growing syrup. You don't think that palatable is important? How about the efficiency of taking your medicine or not. Marihuana will never be replaced with some pill. This is why there is controversy, no categories fit marihuana, not in the law, not as a herb, not as a medicine. "Integrate them into the process", you mean breed them in the grow room, big difference, we don't use a big bowl.
