2013 bbq?!

I will be attending this years bbq with

I can't put my finger on it, but a different energy this year vs. two years ago. More trading of seeds and shop talk went on two years ago, (everyone was sampling/trading buds this year and that year) and we had a bigger crowd as well then. I noticed a bit more drinking this year (I was buzzed up) too. Both were good times.
We were the last to leave, besides the 4 campers, and we couldn't stop talking about what a great time we had! I agree with JJ on Fumbles asparagus salad, perfect blend of flavors and crunchiness!

Great company, great weed, great food (the pig was cooked perfect) great time!

Hey treeman, thanks brother. I think the strong contingent of older Vietnam vets put a little different spin on it this year, I know I was having random flashbacks throughout the day, but in a good way. I think there was some healing going on as well as a pig roast. Thanks so much for bringing your veteran buddies, they made the day for me. Please tell them thanks again and a big hug from me. Lets hope all our health holds up, so we can do this again.......

Several people at the BBQ asked about the log cabin I built when I got home from Vietnam. When I returned I was having re-adjustment issues, and found it hard to fit right back into society. Both of my Grandparents died while I was away, and left me enough money to buy some rural land in NE Washington state, right on the Canadian border. It was 5 miles of 4x4 road to get there, no electricity. Built the cabin with logs from the land. We lifted everything by hand, with rigging & block&tackle, you can see it in the pictures. I believe building the cabin gave me something else to focus on, and probably saved my life. I was too tired and had too many log building challenges, to think about the war. Here's a few pics........

hadda great time at the BBQ! the vibes were deffinetly chill. great dabs, amazing trees, and perfect company. always down for more future BBQs, atleast twice annually! no naming of course..... beautiful scenery of course too, grill it up!

Fumble is the best. I can't take credit for the edibles. I just put my sis in the kitchen with fumble ! Wow what a teacher! Fumble should write the book.

+REP when i can give some more out.. my grandfather and his father built some in colorado on about 600 acres outside of meeker, i try to make it back up there every couple of years. got my first deer with a bow out there and learned ALOT about my Gpa. Thats mans work right there not easy but definitely satisfying before he passed i remember him going on and reminiscing about all the spiritual moments that living out there provided i think its time for me to go back and spread a few ashes its been about 4 yrs since iv been wonder if id even recognize any of it.

Thank you bro..I learned to hunt deer with a bow out there.......& I caught this guy in the pig pen (going after the feed acutally), but the hogs didn't know that!lol 30/06...

Well, I started this thread 3 months prior too this BBQ and we had a light turnout. Do you guy's think that if we started planning earlier, we would have a bigger turnout?.........should we start planning 420 BBQ in Jan (4 months)?.......:roll:
