id pinch sum of those stems just to pop the stem not topping them it always makes my pants grow faster because it widens the stem so more nutes can pass through also it adds strength to your stems and while its recovering from being popped the secondary shoots grow like crazy as well but ya keep updating your pics because everyone wants to see this finished..!

Nice looking genetics. The leaves have such deep green and puffy texture.
I am betting on Indica as this looks similar to Indica seedlings i have been around. To -Ding Dang ol' JohnDee, i really hope it is something like an Acapulco Gold because i am fond- but i am no strain expert at all, it will be fun to see what the community's expertise reveals about my mystery New Guinean seed.
Interesting intense green and purple marbling / striation along the stems. Also, Sorry man! I topped it!! i gave it a love pinch too, just to be safe.
I enjoy growing this mystery plant. Also, here's a beaaautiful rare pepper plant - bonus points to anyone who can name or generalize it's variety: (hint - it likes rather acidic conditions)
OK anyways, now I'm going to go and get super baked, drink coffee, listen to Ravi Shankar, and peruse some rousing abstracts in theoretical hydrodynamics.
On a side note I may be embarking to the Philippines soon for just a few days, and if time provides out side of research i will get mega high and score some dankity seed.

I do believe i see one or two female pre-flowers popping up. The secondary growth is getting out of control. Something about the soggy 80/20 coco/soil mix in WARM dry climate. Still, the leaves are perky and fat and nicely serrated and textured. PH may be a tad too low as there is one or two leaves that aren't exploding in emerald green. the light schedule is somewhere around 14 hour a day of mixed MH and LED depending on how my (actual) herb/pepper garden looks. There is some red/purpley swirl in the stalk and stem but i am convinced it is not detrimental to the plant and possibly genetic. I probably water every 3 days now as the root system is very developed and the plant is getting thirstier.
This thing is a freaking shrub. It's about 4.5 weeks old from seed, 8-9 inches tall, and 14 inches wide. For reference the diameter of that fabric pot is ~13". It's like the stoic bonsai trees sagely wizened old men prune in the highlands of Japan. Stalk is as thick as my index finger and it's so dense i have trouble managing all of the leaves. I will not trim secondary growth until the plant stretches to make room for all the leaves as this is getting insane. I am starting to pinch and top as well. This plant grows rather slowly, but seems very developed and hardy. And i give it no special treatment other than that of my sultry soothing voice.

Clearly an indica so no Panama Red...but Afghan came out to the western world around 1980 and so you could have some of that genetics. And looking at her...I's say almost for sure.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
As you move East away from the former Indo-China area, the only strains that appear are very weak locally (and badly) grown seeds from other places.
Papua or Borneo are often chosen as the location for fabricated stories because the places are so unknown that some folks tend to believe ANYTHING about them.

Correct. Any energy imbued through the transport media of a plant (namely the vascular system) from a forced vibration source such as music and singing directly increases the kinetic energy, and conversely entropy, of the molecular symphony that is biological cell growth. The end result, undeniably proven with mathematics, is a kick-start in the Gibbs free energy available to catalyze biological chemical reactions, thus making growth easier on the plant.

JD - thanks sir, i appreciate the feedback on origin of growth and whatnot. Interesting stuff. I should mention in full spirit that there are other reasons for this grow than just the thrill of exotic cannabis.
COGENT BACKGROUND
I have a PhD in theoretical hydrodynamics and statistics, specializing in applied mathematics, and built my living off of Cold War defense contracts. Namely systems control / heuristic analysis of autonomous vehicles. Time passed, and i snapped. I am no longer the calculating robotic freak i used to be. Peace, harmony, athleticism, and and the endless search of wisdom have truly proven to be the core values in my life. I now float off of the money I have by traveling the world and steeping myself in a tea of worldly culture.
With that said, the 5 foot tall naked man garbed in feathers and cloth whom the tribesmen called "Pitu" blessed the handful of seeds he shoved into my hand before i backpacked off into the New Guinean highlands in search of dhammachakka. You are now witnessing the spirit of a dying indigenous tribe embodied in a small beautiful plant whom i am ultimately responsible for preserving until the end of my days. If Pitu had given me a fucking EZ bake oven, i would have cherished it equally as much. Cupcakes all day, bitch. It just so happens that he gave me dank, dank, pot seeds, and now i so choose to chronicle my efforts and share the joy of horticulture with those who truly appreciate it.

I feel most people who chronicle the growth of cannabis except for those who do daily updates have yet to effectively capture what i would describe as a complex partial differential sigmoidal function. Mathematically speaking, if you take a "snapshot" of a plant with an equal amount of time between each journal entry, you have one less statistical variable to examine with regards to growth and progress. Strategic sampling is key. And to prove my point quite simply, i present to those blessed with curiosity two photos taken 22 hours later. Macroscopic growth aside, here is what this shrubby little beast has done in a day's work and a short nap:

Greetings
On one of my recent excursions deep into Papua New Guinea, i came across some tribesmen, who, like many of us, were artisans of cannabis cultivation. Long story short, i got high as hell from a big tree branch chalice and danced around for a day. I was fortunate enough to have obtained a small handful of seeds from their grove of chronic. Now, I am taking these majestic beauties indoors and fruiting them on the opposite side of the earth.
This is the first time i have taken truly wild, pure seed and attempted to domesticate it indoors. The strategy is as follows: Emulate the warm semi-equatorial atmosphere. No crazy light swapping or schedules, OG soil, compost tea, and sing to them for at least 5 minutes a day.
Anybody else tried out a New Guinean variety?
