We were all set to go to Mars with the Russians. The trip was suppossed to happen in less than 10 years.

Then we sent those rovers there- they kept the public busy with live footage of rocks and dirt. But someone saw something via one of those rovers...now the trip to Mars has been pushed back again, this time for another 10-20 years....

Life on the moon is not really a smart idea considering you would need a 7 foot house of led to protect you from the radiation..

where exactly did you learn about radiation? it would take far less than that to properly shield you from the radiation. which btw is not as much as you make it sound..

Something thats been bothering me lately is that humans have been around for thousands of years and our technology still isn't what it should be. We supposedly landed on the moon in 69 and since then we still haven't gone back, and still we wont even be able to land on mars for another 10-20 years.

Well there are some of my thoughts, I'm going to go light up again.

you have to remember there was a very long period of technological and philosophical oppression forced upon us by retarded organized religion. our technology, and civilization is progressing exactly as it should be, with computation speeds doubling exponentially every 18 months, and population at all time highs we need to be thinking big picture, and become a stateless bi-planetary species. (yes stupid conspiracy theorists that means one world government)
and we had the capability to put people on mars in the 70's, its just a matter of money and popular opinion.

that tells me that you are developmentally challenged. our "retarded fucked up country" did make it to the moon, the retro-reflectors currently residing in the sea of tranquility are irrefutable physical evidence. Exploration involves risk. I'm not suggesting sending people to the moon without proper preparation. I'm saying do whatever preparation it takes to ensure their safe return.
