I have used a FFOF amended with perlite and earth worm castings in 7gal smartpots for my grows up until now. I would say it is typically enough to last through veg but will start needing some nutes or top dressing once you flip or just before depending on veg time. (only have photo experience...
It's only a couple weeks from seed for most of them since I had to start some over. I purposely left the oldest one in the small starter size while the others caught up. They should all pick up as soon as I pot them up.
Alright all, sorry for the lack of update. Full disclosure there was an issue (aka I probably fucked up) so I had to start 3 of the seeds over. Now that I am basically back on track I will fill in the blanks (dates may not be exact) and be more regular with the updates.
DAY 6
Well, this is...
I'd say the short answer is yes but the laws are not exactly fleshed out. Best bet is to keep a low profile / not advertise your location as per usual (you already blew that ) if some lawman feels like being a dick there are probably some legal loopholes they will be able to exploit in...
Thanks, picture is kind of deceiving. Those are just seedling size (shotglass basically) filled with peat and I had just put a little water on top. Peat is a bit hydrophobic until it absorbs some of the water, no drainage issue. I did have problems with a couple of the seeds but more due to...
DAY 2
Jack and Harlequin ready to go into the soil and Gelato / Zkittlez cracked.
DAY 3
Everybody ready and in soil. I put a small layer of potting soil in the bottom and the rest is just peat.
Carbon filter came in today, I used a Terrabloom on my 6" and it worked well so went with them again. I have used Phresh in the past and would say it is on par as far as the smell goes. Not sure on longevity as I only did one run with the Terrabloom but it was still working fine when I was...
Just wanted to say thanks for all the info provided in this thread. I have been using FFOF/EWC/Perlite under a 300w COB for my grows and consistently run into deficiencies at the end of veg or right after flip and then fight all the way to the end. I have been able to pull just over a gram per...
Tent and fan arrived today! My old grow was in a closet like spot so I did not have to worry about any light getting in there even with the passive vents wide open. This one will be in a larger room where light from windows can find it's way in. I will post up some pics once it has found a...
The AC infinity 5x5 is 80" and regular gorilla is 82" without the extension neither were an option for me. I probably would have tried the Ac Infinity if I had space since I like the built in panel to put the controller outside but shorty it is for now. With the extension The shorty is 68" I...

Thanks for the reply! I actually ended up going with the Gorilla Shorty 5x5 because it was the only one that would work in my space. I only have ~75 inches to work with and non of the other brands had a 5x5 that was short enough. It will be a couple inches shorter than my 3x3 Jardin but...
Hello all! Figured I would do another one of these now that I have a little experience under my belt. (Feel free to comment / discuss in this thread) This will be my 5th grow but I have basically updated my entire setup so who knows how this is going to go. :bigjoint: I am upgrading from a 3x3...
Thanks for all the input guys, seems to be about as wide ranging as when I was first looking for a tent lol! The AC infinity ones look interesting but I am always a bit skeptical of new product, the specs and price look pretty good and I did upgrade to one of their 6" fans for my last grow so...
Hey! Upgrading from a Secret Jardin 3x3 to a new 5x5 and just looking for opinions on which tents people have experience with, good / bad. I am happy with my Secret Jardin, it has been going strong for 4 years now, only a couple small pin holes but it has worked great otherwise. I know...
Cant really speak to the specific light but I go by power draw from the wall for mine (I have a 4 COB setup in a 3x3) I usually veg at 200w and then slowly crank it up to max (320ish w) over the first 4 weeks or so.
On a side note, I like to veg them until the top of the plant is just above...
