  • Thinking about it, I remember resolving that the mold could not have started from anything except my tap water. That might sound crazy, but in some areas the pipes either in your home or at the treatment plant can carry mildew spores in massive amounts. When I open my washing machine, dishwasher, smell a dry clean towel or sweatshirt, it smells like mildew bad. It's not subtle, it makes you sick if you're not used to it. So even though the PPM is only 260 out of my tap, I use ONLY R/O water I buy from grocery store water stations or the like. Now it's all I drink, too. Tap water is bad for you and your plants (in most cities).
...like if your humidity is consistently over 80% and/or you see signs already. Don't spray them in a tight area cuz you'll make it worse. Spread them out and blow a fan on them a lot and run a dehumidifier with the room closed till you get it to like 30% unless you don't have one. Just try to get it dry, there's other ways. Make sure they're totally dry before you put them back. This is all just stuff I learned form smarter growers and really I'm not the person to ask but happy to set you in a good direction.
Um I need you to be more specific. On the date you say I posted photos of my totally fucked up plants. I tried to bug bomb them when they had a little bit of mold on them and slightly too high humidity. I needed to solve the mold issue first. So if it's before that then, ya that was a little mold of some strain that can get out of control if you don't keep it in check. A product called Serenade is great for ALL kinds of mold and mildew and basically any plant disease (not bugs). Water it down a lot. And it does smell like animal poop so don't spray your plants with your sheets right behind them lol. Made that mistake. The smell will fade quickly when you air out the room a little. Only other thing I've used is called Zero Tolerance from Ed Rosenthal which I like better because it's milder and works for my constant aphid problems too. And it smells good, like big red gum. But if you need to BE SURE about mold and mildew...
Hey it's been a while since I was on, and a long while since that happened but I'll try to go back in my journal and see what it was, but I'm pretty sure it never amounted to much trouble for me after all the noise I made.
