Yea I considered that, unfortunately the dimmer isn't removable unless I go poking around inside the driver. Might take a look though. New light is nice and bright and it covers 4 earthboxes in a 4x4 very well. Next round of autos should be nice.

I got about a year and a half with mine. It wasn't terrible and it may be repairable but if it's an issue with the driver it just seemed cheaper to buy another light. If anyone has any insight on determining the fix for a light that seems to work fine but is just dim I'd appreciate any info...

No it didnt catch fire its just no longer bright not sure what happened to it maybe driver issues. It turns on its just not powerful. I bought 2 of those and one of em still works.
