I started off with 4 -- 23 watt CFL bulbs from walmart ...the cheapest they had .... i had them in a growbox that was made out of 2 storage tubs held together with zip ties.....i glued 4 light bases and ran them in paralel .....the 4 lights do put off a little heat so i used a computer case fan...

I use MG soil mix for flowering and vegetation, I mixed it with about 30 % compost manure and my plants are going nuts , beautiful lush green leaves , no burnt tips or brown spots . I water them every other day or so with about a 12 oz glass of water and they look the best they've ever looked...
