Looks good man. I am doing a bubbleponics grow now too and it is going great. Get more lights. I have a great air pump giving tons of bubbles and my plant is growing like crazy.

I am about to begin the flowing stage and I have read, I think, that you should put your plants in 24 hours of barkness before switching to 12/12. I am at 18/6 now (for veg). Do I turn the lights off for 24 hours first, then switch to 12/12? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I agree with Grizzly. Keep the net pots but get a light tight container. Get a Rubbermaid container. Also, put more hydroton in the net pots to keep light from getting in. Light is not good for root growth. You want 6500K for Veg and 2700K for Flower. It should tell you on the CFL light...
