Clones in EZ cloner. Doesn't spray wash off hormone?

I just took some cuttings from my mother plant and put them into my EZ cloner. Before putting them in there I dipped the end in a powder rooting hormone.

I am not putting my clones i any medium but just into a neoprene disk and placing them in the cloner.

Doesn't the spray from the cloner immediately wash off the rooting hormone? I have seen videos of people doing this but what good is the rooting hormone if the spray washes it off the cutting the second you put it in the cloner?

What are your thoughts?

It will end up in the spray and thus be sprayed onto the plants.
I also put a few drops of super thrive in my water as it also helps speed up roots.

Some are able to do it using nothing, but I am not one of the lucky ones. I add a few drops of super thrive, and dip the cuttings into the rooting powder and it seems to work.

Keeping the cuttings moist with a humidity dome helps a lot. Until roots start, the green parts of the plant is all it has to pull moisture.

Hey bro, no need to put rooting hormone on your freshly cut clones as this will be rinsed off immediately after the first few sprays. However I do use Roots Excelurator from House and Garden in mine and works fantastic. Expensive shit but worth it IMO. I also use a little Aquashield from Bionicare in the REZ. This shit is to prevent any mildew and shit from growing inside the chamber. I've had 100 % success rate on my clones for 3 years going strong. Again, when your done with the clones in the cloner, wash it out well with HOT water and soap as well as the pump and all tubing that goes into the chamber. This is important. Happy growing..
