  • I get down the mountain sometimes. I actually went to Green mile hydro today to get the final peices for my next grow. I am setting up my next grow I do in my closet. It's 2' x 3'. I am doing a 2 level flooded tube setup, with a 1000w hps mounted vertically. I use a homemade cool tube setup because I don't have much money to invest in nice, brand new stuff. I've done things cheap as I can. Maybe we can chill sometime. I don't smoke anymore... but I can bring some of my herb for you to try. It's top notch (or so I've heard).
yo man, been growing since september, should have harvested on 24/12/2010 but all 4 plants turned out to b male, i was gutted, hense why i have a few going now lol, will take a look at your thread, make sure ur sub'd up n following closely bro................

    peace
I'm actually in near crestline. I just say big bear because people know where that is. Glad to know a neighbor... sorta, ha.
Dude to be completely honest i love Happy Frog soil, has everything you need from seed to flower. I like Black Gold but seems to powdery for me and also doesnt have that shit that promotes root growth like happy frog. Im trying this new shit forgot the name but if its good im going to switch to it has a lit more wood shavings in and i like the texture, and is built up just like happy frog soil. With pots i always start in 5gal all the way threw veg. than move to 7gal. a week before i put them into flower. Always figure they need 2 gal. of fresh soil before u flower them, going on the 1gal per month root growth ratio. But if you veg in smaller pots like 1gal. and put them in 3gal for flower that is fine as long as they have a 2gal. of soil to grow in. You never want to have to transplant due to root lock in the 6week of flowering lol.
go on craigslist and type in "hydroponics" you can find stuff cheap. tell me the size of your grow room and what and how many plants
I wouldn't take my word as gospel, just another opinion in a world full of them. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them and they all stink. I would go with HPS if you can afford only one light. HPS with a dual spectrum bulb, such as an EYE Hortilux, which is what I use in my 400W HPS system. If heat is a factor, go with a high wattage CFL (I used a 125W Feliz 6500K for vegging and they had the same in a 2700K for flowering, up to a 250W) or several low wattage CFLs of different temps. The LED technology is just too expensive and the final product too inconsistent.
can't say that I do. I used Sunshine Neutral and made my own organic ferts for the veg. cycle (Dr. Earth, Azomite, Seabird guano). I can't afford LEDs, I just know from research that they do not provide the proper spectrums of light. A UFO is gonna run you at least a grand though. You might find a knock off for less. You can do better with any kind of CFL, and HIDs are still the best technology out right now and for the immediate future.
I wouldn't say really good, just got into it recently but did my fair share of reading/researching before I started..
Ya man I grow a little bit. I use a grow tent and dabble in the outdoors as well. I have to grow I'm from Cali isn't that a rule?
I've only been growing since February of this year so I don't have a ton of experience but I think I'm starting to get it down allright.

Did you need some help with something?
