    Yellowing Leaves week 5 flowering

Have you noticed any critters flying around or crawling on top of the soil? When I grew organically I had a bad habit of over watering and would end up with fungus gnats or soil mites. If they got out of hand it would lead to all kinds of deficiencies showing up a few weeks into flowering. Just...

I need a large, quiet air pump.... or just good advice.

If you do decide to stick with an air pump I'd recommend a linear air pump. A bit pricey but really quiet. I'm running an Alita AL-40 and couldn't be happier. Alita linear air pumps run on 120v or 240v.

    Fallponics brown sludge

As for your algae problem, your net pots may be your problem. The net pots I use are solid on the sides for the top couple inches. Your net pots are net all the way up the sides. This makes it hard for the clay pellets to block all light. As mentioned before, white PVC can pass light if intense...

    Iron precipitation

The order in which you mix the nutrients can cause elements to precipitate out of suspension. I run Si and Jack's 3-2-1. I always add Si to my RO water first. Once well mixed I then add Jack's part A, then Epsom, then part B calnit. Always making sure each component is well mixed before adding...

Not sure if you selected your light yet or not. I started to lean towards the FC-3000 and decided to pull the trigger when I found them for $278.99 on ebay or $273.41ea if you go for three as I did.

    mars fc-3000 upgrade?

I’m in the market for a new LED with a 3x3 footprint myself. I prefer bars over boards. These are the fixtures I’m considering so far. * Mars Hydro FC-e3000 with 1184 Bridgelux diodes with an advertised efficiency of 2.8 umol/j and a 50,000 hour life span for about $270. * Mars Hydro FC-3000...

Covid free here. I'll have to load up my vape to make sure I stay that way.

    Rdwc huge ph fluctuations

UV is great for killing any pathogens in source water. I use RO water and run that through a UV filter to kill any bacteria, virus or algae that make it through the RO filter. Using a UV filter to keep your nutrient solution sterile will cause certain elements to precipitate out of suspension.

Best/most essential -supplements- for a dwc grow?(:

I’m new to hydroponics, 6 weeks into flower on my first RDWC run, so by no means an expert. But I have been using these 5 additives with Jack’s 3-2-1 nutrients from day one and I’m very pleased with my results so far. Silica - for “Increased resistance to waterborne pathogens, disease and pests...

    First Grow! Indoor RDWC Zkittlez

Looking real good. Nice setup. What type of insulation are you using on your buckets? Looks like a peel and stick possibly? Are you using any bennies or sterilizing products in your nutrient solution? Smart move with the RO system. When I first dabbled in hydro with a DIY cloner using tap water...

    First rdwc build, suggestions welcome

Nice! Especially it keeping your res at 65⁰ without a chiller. Then you also have all the white to reflect light back up. That's awesome. Looks like your girls are loving the environment also.

    First rdwc build, suggestions welcome

I like to be able to lift the lids. I "top" my roots twice in veg and it's nice to be able to inspect roots if necessary. I've seen quite a few people who wrap their lids and lines in aluminum foil. Simple, no construction or painting involved. Whichever rout you go, just make sure you're light...
