i personally wouldnt recommend LEDs... although the technology is improving, it is far from being a replacement for hps or h.o floros or even large wattage cfls... not to mention they are WAY over priced for under preforming as they do...

i herd cfl's would of worked better
i'm working with a 2'x6' 8' h flowering room, and anyother light would have to much heat

its very simple... about a week into 12/12, once stretching starts to slow, you cut off the bottom 1/3 of the plants lower branches at the main stem... you can use these for clones if you want or discard them if you dont need them... the reason i recommend doing it a little after 12/12 starts is because if you do it during the last week of veg you might have to cut them back again as the plant will try to grow them back.. if you do it in flowering a little bit it will still heal itself but will work less on growing them back than they would in veg...

the sooner you can switch to the hps bulb the better... bud production will increase dramitcally when you switch the light spectrum to the correct one.. you'll be very happy with the results

Hey Sampson...I was wondering if you know the effects/advantages/disadvantages of changing from a MH bulb to a HPS bulb 3 weeks into flowering. I've been looking and I saw all your informative posts and thought you may know. If you can help that be great. Thanks a lot.

not knowing wattages of cfls for sure off the top of my head i would say you could use the smallest wattage available... i think thats like 28ws?? get a couple, depending on how many clones you are rooting tho.. thats find where you are keeping it.. they dont need the light right up on them....

i do use a 4' t12 2 bulb 42watt shop light for my clones(12"x12"dome) seams to me like a overkill. what would be a good cfl for cloning?
i want to use the least light and the cheapest light to burn to keep my elec bill down.
my shop light is 12" above the dome, good?
i keep the shop light about 12" above the clone dome
