Went into Wilkos today mate, they just selling Christmas crap now, all gardening stuff gone :sad: Well i managed to get some sand from the play park near me, should be ok if i wash it then put in the oven for a bit to kill anything unwanted, what you reckon?:smile:

Again thanks man, will get straight on with it, i read from one post to use 1/4'' sand and another between 1 and 2'', what you recommend? By the way have you heard of using cinnamon against these pests?

Thanks mate, i did read about this on the forum and will try this and reduce watering, does the sand also stop the Fungus Gnat lavae from attacking the roots? Cheers
