you can also measure using ec which is electrical conductivity. Pure water should have no conductivity so as salts(nutrients) are added they are conductors and can be measured in the water using a meter. My meter measures the EC and PPM.

They look fine for plants growing under a couple of fluorescent lights. Don't expect much weed when finished. Plain and simple you need more light buddy. At least try to get that outside if nothing else. I still say don't expect much though.
