I have one dog and my wife considers me a crazy dog man. Trying to socialize and train this puppy is more than a full time job. Her and I have not been apart for more than two hours since I got her in December. Today was dog park time followed by training session then shopping at Walmart. An angel the entire time. Yes she is the bestest girl!

I love the devotion. Kudos for sticking with it. I have tons of stories I'll only touch on...I promise. LOL. Had 4 big dogs when my son passed. Then I got his ancient/broken cattle dog as well. I did transport for a Golden Retriever rescue and had a hand in about 300 dogs getting to their final homes...thus...we did multiple adoptions/etc. over the 4 years or so I was driving all over fook to snag dogs.

We got the latest/current pup (Shep/Pyr) @ 8 months last April....so we are going on a year of ownership and she is 19 months old. Dunno what the previous owners did to her but they didn't do her any favors in the separation anxiety Dept...nor did they...evidently...put her in the car much. We don't drive much either...but we take her everywhere we go when we do go out. She's starting to get a bit better at it...and we left her in the car alone during dinner a month or so ago...but like you...she hasn't really been apart from us for almost a year. Good thing we do what we want...have no schedules....and live in the boonies where those big WOOFS don't bother anyone. We decided since it's very unlikely we'll have any grandkids...we might as well play Grandma and Grandpa to a dog. :bigjoint:
