With nutrients in the water my ph ends up at 5.9-6.1 in hydro from my tap water, I haven't used ph up or down the entire grow and I think the plant is doing great, 9-10 days from harvest now. But all depends on your local water quality.

I think it depends on where you live and local water quality. The water in my area comes from a deep spring and is not treated at all, so is great water for growing, 5.6 ph from the tap.
