I think that is tall enough to start SOG training. Take all buds off the bottom 1/3 of plant. Leave the fan leaves for food. Some people remove the fan leaves also. Do one with the fan leaves removed from the bottom 1/3 and one with fan leaves still on and see what happens.

Wrap the base of the plant and cover the soil like you would if you were wrapping a Xmas tree for presents. then take a hose with a light spray nozzle and spray the plant. It's like it was raining and with the soil covered it wont get them dirty again. Let it dry, cut and hang.
