recirculating dwc w/ House and Garden, new growth is yellowish

House and Garden Nutes 700ppm 6.1 ph 65-70 temps The new growth on my plants is light green to yellow and somewhat mutated. Stems on one plant are a bit purple up towards the yellowish growth. I assumed this was a difficiency. Since the yellowing emerged I have been doing slight water...

    converting from dwc to soil

Hey everyone, when i started about 2 years ago I started with dwc. After countless problems and solutions I've come to realize the only way to resolve some of my issues is to hang up the hydro dream and convert to soil. Any tips for starting out fresh in soil? I have a great grow shop here in...

Little Green Ball on Bottom of Each Pistil?

i actually read it on a couple different sites. if you google 'small green seed (or ball) within calyx' there is a lot of information... although much of it is of course contradicting. i'm siding with them being ovules !

What Do Pistils Come Out Of? Is This Normal or a Hermy?

Hey Zaehet I'm curious as to how your harvest turned out, of if it's still blooming what the status is of the little green seed-like balls. I've got the same thing going on a month into flower, would love to hear an update!

Little Green Ball on Bottom of Each Pistil?

why do u add molasses to plants during flower??

a polite bump here, if someone could clarify how plants actually use sugars as an additive in soil and hydro that would be great, or point to an article or other post. Thanks

why do u add molasses to plants during flower??

so sugar feeds microbes in your root mass? I thought the plant actually used the carbs for resin production but I could be wrong. If the sugar feeds microbes or bennies wouldn't it be just as good to put in bennies and an enzyme to feed them instead of sugar? by enzyme to feed them I think...

why do u add molasses to plants during flower??

be careful using any kind of molasses mix in dwc. I have the humboldt nutrients sugar additive "hydro honey", I only add in the last 2-3 weeks with a light dosage as it really seems to gunk up roots a bit. That being said, I noticed a significant difference in resin production with this method...

    Foaming in My Rez?

yes also what nothingtodeclare said, don't add bennies and h202, either do one or the other, personally I like populating bennies in my system as it seems more natural and stable

    Foaming in My Rez?

Hey man, first thing to do is make sure, and I mean damn sure that no light is getting into your rez. Second, make sure your temps are staying in a good range, a little high is ok but not ideal. Third, the bubbley froth can be two things. It was/is probably the great white or possibly your...

    no flush hydro info

I remember reading a thread once where a member (i think his name was "no flush") who was advocating to not flush in hydro before harvest. I recall his argument being sound and somewhat scientific, does anyone remember this info or thread? Anyone have any info on not flushing in hydro? Thanks

    Anyone Have Problems with Hygrozyme?

I concur, I never had problems, started adding hygrozyme and now I get a frothy/soapy type film for a few days, and possibly some brown decomposing material that is similar to algae, and could be some kind of algae or bacteria. But after a few days of this things clear up and everything is...

hygrozyme = soapy bubbles/froth and brown stuff maybe nitrate turning to nitrite

ok, I never used any kind of enzyme or additive with my dwc set up and was successful for about a year no problems. I started adding hygrozyme a couple weeks ago and have been going through some things. First off, I am convinced Hygrozyme causes bubbles/froth in a well aerated res. Second, I...

will seeds from trimming (very few seeds) be ok to pop and grow

Thanks, so far the plants look super healthy, I mean even if it is a genetic "copy" of the mom hermie, there were only like a couple seeds found in the entire plant at best, doesn't sound too bad....and if the blueberry (herm seed that's growing) accidentally pollinates my iss I'll have some...

    Bubbleponics Foam Help!

Been looking for info on this issue. I think Hygrozyme is causing my res to foam. Could this be possible? The foam is soapy and bubbly looking, I think it is skim created by bacteria breaking down nitrates and matter in the water?

will seeds from trimming (very few seeds) be ok to pop and grow

I have acquired a number of different seeds from someone who trims for a grower. They don't find many seeds but every now and then one shows up. Are these more viable to be stable females than a full on hermie seed? any info is appreciated thanks

Hey everyone, I found spidermites about 3 weeks out from harvest. After reading tons of info on the suckers I got some einstein oil and made a spray. I am confident that I will be able to spot spray the suckers until harvest time without hurting the end harvest. I also set up a humidifier and...
