Hmmm yeah. Temps aren't an issue for me. I don't use a tent and my buckets are directly on the concrete. Keeps my water temps pretty cool. "I change a res and leave it at 6.2 and it's 4.2 12-hours later." How much water have you lost in that time as well?

pH crashes and ppm spikes. This is exactly what my system does. It's because of transpiration. The plant is using lots of water...a little nutrients...but nothing else. The plant doesn't use pH down. So when the water drops the concentration of pH down increases and pH drops. At the same time...

It depends on the fertilizer you use. Tobacco causes cancer because the fertilizer contains the isotopes Lead 210 and Polonium 210. Go ahead and search it guys. There are confirmed studies. So it's the same thing with weed. Make sure your fert is radioactive free. Sounds crazy, but true.

I'm assuming the 430 watt Son agro bulb will 'pull' the extra 30 watts through the transformer...so the ballast may run a bit hotter. Maybe better cooling for the ballast(400w) for this lamp. I have this lamp...it's nice. You can see the significant blue shimmer when it's on. Still lots of red...
