    Want Bag Appeal? Curing Matters

Two plants were Skunk #1 x Great White and the other was a Northern Lights x Haze. Both are killer and great producers.

    Want Bag Appeal? Curing Matters

I know I'm late to this thread but I want to add a couple points. Curing does two things; lets the chlorophyll, which gives your buds the hay smell and taste, break down plus allows the THC to convert to a more psycho-active form. Good trimming really helps cut down on the harsh smell and...

    Drying

Wow, I thought I did great when I got 90 quart mason jars of loosely packed colas from 3 plants but it was no where like your harvest. When did you find the time and energy to trim all those? I that job got old after the third day.

    Hanging without Trimming

Only 3 plants but I've pruned 80 colas so far with another 30 plus to go. So far I've put in at least 24 hours in the hanging room.

    Hanging without Trimming

My crop is ripening too fast now that the temps have dropped and the days are waning. I've been selectively pruning for weeks but now I'm running out of hanging room waiting for them to dry enough for jars but now some of my buds are starting to turn brown or get mold so I pruned a bunch and...

    Latest Harvest

One plant is a Northern Lights cross and the other 2 are Skunk #1 crossed with Great White. So far the yield has been beyond belief. BTW, I'm growing this for a group of disabled veterans that can't get it legally.

    Latest Harvest

Just cut my second round of buds from my 3 outdoor plants. Been staggering the harvest to get different highs as they mature. First harvest was 19 but this time I pulled 33 Buds and still have almost half the crop to go. Took me 10 hours to trim and by the end It got sloppy but what the hell...

How do YOU trim em' up?!?!

Newgrowth is right on but I've been trimming as close as possible but too many small leaves get stuck into the real bud because everything is so sticky. Even when I'm meticulous with a great pair of Swiss scissors, once they hang for a day or two those damn hidden leaves pop up as they dry...

    harvets...day or night?

I agree with Antman that it is best to harvest at dawn (I do it at 5;45 am) but I've been trimming branches top down just so I can get more light to the lower branches and let those buds fatten up. Plus, I have 2 strains growing. A Northern Lights cross which is maturing now and a Great White...

    ******* 2008 Outdoor Monster Thread ************

Update on my Northern Lights cross. Its hit 8 feet and the buds are starting to fill out. Still 2 plus weeks to go as the trichromes are just getting cloudy. Not bad for a urban stealth planting. My other two great white x #1 skunk have hit 9 feet and won't be ready until October.

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Praying Mantis solves this NP. They hatch in late July but mature and feed at the end of August when buds are blooming. We've had them established in our yard for 15 years plus. Very cool looking but also killers when it comes to plant parasites. You can buy them but it wouldn't help until...

    weather & its effects on

Time to start trimming the fan leaves I guess on the buds. Hate to do it before harvest but they catch water and I guess its time to lighten the ship. I was saving them for hash but overboard!

    weather & its effects on

All this rain is a drag because my colas are so large that when they get wet it drags the whole plant down. I've had to tie a bunch of branches up because I want them to get the last few weeks of sun so they can fatten up to their optimum. Of course they are huge right now and even being...

    Controlling Smell Outdoors

Have 1 Northern Lights and 2 Great White x #1 Skunk in a small backyard. All are flowering and over 6 ft with multiple buds. They are stealthed visually and the house next door is empty but being renovated. I've seen too many workmen to be comfortable since we live in a close neighborhood...

    Hurracane Hanna

Man, Hanna really did a job on my 3 outdoor plants. We didn't have any wind but the heavy rain just soaked the massive colas they have developed and it weighed them down and they were all bent over like old men. I tied them up so they can get full advantage of the remaining light this season...

    Rain Deluge

Damn, with this rain outside my colas are so big that when they get drenched the whole plant sags over. I'm afraid they may get damaged. Just paranoid but hate to see them almost lying on the ground.

Never weighed it but I filled 2 cases of quart mason jars with quality buds. It made a lot of friends happy.

First Post (long) but need advice

Hey everyone, I've had some good luck growing outdoors due to the fact I have an almost perfect southern exposure in a stealth spot as you can see from these photos from last year. However, I've never grown indoors. This year a disabled vet asked me to help him out and he gave me 5 seedlings...
