    Hydroguard and root rot

When I dealt with root rot nothing helped except for CX Wilt Guard. I have no idea how it's not more popular to be honest. When I had pyth in a single site dwc tote, I tried the peroxide method to no avail. When I tried dwc again with a single site bucket grow I got pyth again and tried...

Which grow tent brands to avoid?

Vivosun is the biggest pos tent I've ever used but at least it's the cheapest. The poles are thin, the canvas is thin, the zippers are horrible, and it has pointless windows that only serve to leak light. Mars is actually pretty beefy and the mylar inside is actually seemingly nice and I would...

First rdwc / Indoor grow with DIY setup

Ugh makes me wish I didn't have to gamble with seeds, looks lovely and well done.

Inline fan carbon filter a bit too noisy for my liking

If that fan is an actual EC fan it'll definitely be quieter with a speed controller. I have an AC Infinity (which is an EC fan) 6" on low and my clip fan makes significantly more noise. Your neighbors will hear white noise at best but white noise gets cancelled pretty well by walls so they...

DWC 1 TANK IDEA. Input requested

Deep breaths brother. Dtw drip systems aren't messy at all but since the mediums usually chosen are rockwool or coco moving into rdwc for flower might not be ideal. What about waterfarms? They are recirculating drip systems that you can easily diy with waterfarm kits and the netpots you...

    RDWC design assistance

GH Waterfarms are not RDWC. That said I'd rather have have Waterfarms with a shared res than deal with RDWC. Anyway @Lilmink your design is missing a control bucket and your flow pattern will lead to uneven water levels. Look at photos of different 4 site rdwc systems available and you'll get...

    Plant took off this weekend...

@Smokinggun he topped correctly. It's common practice to grow up until 6 nodes only to then cut at the 3rd. I've done it the way you're describing too but waiting a little longer may help the plant recovery quickly. Also since Tangoroo's plant is a clone his nodes are not symmetrical.

Nute & Reverse Osmosis questions For Hydro

This is sage advice. After moving I started my first new grow very recently and I also decided to switch to Jacks. After 24hrs I checked the res and noticed significant turbidity so I flushed and mixed with straight RO this time. Moral of the story, I really don't know if water was the...

    Plant took off this weekend...

@Tangoroo Yeah manifolding (or mainlining) does involve several stages of topping but bc of the training (LST) that goes along with it, it earns it's own title. If I can get my current grow under control, I'll be mainlining my plant. Regarding your plant, I've never trained a clone but with...

    Plant took off this weekend...

You'll learn quickly how resilient these plants are so don't even worry. Even if you did manage to bend a bit much with a little tape and a few days time you'll soon realize that you accidentally discovered supercropping. As long as you don't have root problems or an infestation, it's actually...

What a difference a fan makes...

Hahaha looks real good man but most importantly this is more ideal for regulating environmentals. Side note I never noticed how thick those poles on the ac Infinity Tents were until now.

    New Baby Grower

Next time you want to take cuts, dial back from feeding the mother plant Nitrogen. You can do this easily if you have a grow/bloom feed by switching out to bloom feeding for a couple of weeks before taking the cuts.

    New Baby Grower

The irony here is that you're the one linking an article which concludes that "no differences were detected between flush treatments for yield, potency, or terpenes" while simultaneously you advocate for binary thinking on an organic subject and you're calling me a troll?

    New Baby Grower

Yet when we grow cannabis plants for flower, we are 'outsmarting' nature. Not to mention that if your point was anything but moot, we'd end up concluding that the only way to grow is naturally.

    New Baby Grower

Just playing devil's advocate here but one could also conclude from that article that feeding nutrients in the last 14 days is also pretty useless. One test from a nutrient manufacturer on one strain is hardly conclusive but it was an interesting read so ty for sharing that. Hopefully more...

    Jack's nutes issues.

I would flush and also not use the calmag (in general). Silica buffers the pH too so maybe hold off this feed and see how goes. You shouldn't be fighting pH drifts like that so my guess is that it's a zinc deficiency since zinc availability reduces at higher pH's.
