!!!ACHTUNG!!! DO NOT USE MOLASSES IN A WATERFARM

I have found that adding molasses to a Waterfarm system results in massive bacterial growth in the system, and a resulting destructive shift in pH... It will kill your plants! Molasses is a SOIL supplement only IMHO. I almost completely destroyed this grow when I switched to flower and began the addition of 1 Tbs/gallon blackstrap molasses... 2 days later the plant was drooping and dying, and the pH was all jacked up. I seriously thought that all hope was lost... When I drained the Waterfarm, the fluid was very murky/cloudy, and I had to flush intensively to revive the plant. Fortunately, she recovered, but I did lose 2 of the major branches off the main stem... probably about 1/3 of my yield...

Was going to say your plant doesnt look so well the leaves are all droopy, i have just added some Blackstrap mollases 1 TSP to 5gal but i guess coco isnt a water farm

Oh wow, that sucks man. I'm using Grandma's Molasses in my coco and my plants love it. However, I always check my ph level before every feeding cuz molasses dose lower the ph.
Give a good flush and start using Sweet. That should take care it. Good luck man.:peace:

meh... nevermind! I looked this 'Sweet' up quick and realized that it is just another blackstrap molasses equivalent that would be a HORRIBLE idea in a Waterfarm...

Easily found this https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/326570-can-i-substitute-sweet-blackstrap.html where another grower is confirming what I have found happens with Sweet/molasses in a Waterfarm... unwanted bacterial growth and destructive shift in pH

so yea, Sweet would be, IMHO, a soil-only supplement! Benefits the growth of bacteria which can be great in soil esp with organics? etc... but no good for Hydro esp Waterfarm

I experienced the same problem with molasses in a DWC, almost lost my plants 4 weeks into flowering. Had to flush several times and added Cannazyme to counter the effects...

Well, I decided to cut one of the stalks off and harvest it... Need the medicine! lol

So I will have a bit of a staggered harvest... no biggie... Here is what the buds look like on the stalk that I cut (cut on Sunday, 10/9, ~65 days flower)

There are still another 6 stalks or so this size and a bunch of popcorn to go!

Hi Mate! that looks amazing!!!
Im just starting my grow tent with a blackstar 240w like you and I have a question.

Did you added the 2x68w 2700k CFL only in the flowering process? As ive read that the white light is better for grow/veg than flowering. So I was thinking to add this kind of white light for the growing besides flowering.

Judging by your results Probably I should use it for flowering! let me know your opinion please.

Thanks!

Are the droopy leaves near the buds a strain dependent thing? I have one of 5 strains that is doing this. It's treated exactly as the others.

Hey! Good questions, I added the 2700K CFLs when I flipped lights to 12/12 and began flowering. They do add some heat to the tent, and draw another 132W when they're on, so I only use them during flowering. I have great results during veg without them on (under the Blackstars only)... so I figured hey, save the energy... The CFL I feel adds some cheap full/white spectrum balance to the Blackstar spectrum, and the warm 2700K light is heavier on orange/red so I gave 'em a shot during flowering... If I were going to supplement the Blackstar spectrum during veg, then I would use cool light CFLs like 6500K which is heavier on the blue... but I personally don't think I would waste the effort in a small 2x4 tent the Blackstar will veg fine IMO

I am not entirely sure, as I only had 1 Kandy Kush seed (was an Attitude freebie), and to complicate things I really messed up this plant using molasses in my waterfarm during the stretch, and the leaves had some droopiness ever since... I didn't get the droopy leaves in my first grow (AK48), and I currently have a Purple Haze that looks like this:
