I would not trim the roots at all but if you feel you must, here is some quick info.My roots are getting huge in the 5 gal bucket would it harm the plant if i trimmed some root mass off? Im thinking it would hurt but Im not sure so Im asking....any advice?![]()

You shouldnt shorten the tap roots at all during this process, but using clippers to trim the thread roots is acceptable. Also prune roots that are dead looking away from the plant.
