1000W White Widow in ACME tanks. Cyco Nutes.

Hey Everyone, I thought I would finally start a grow journal for my first big grow, till now I've only been growing autos, now that I have more space to work with I've made a few upgrades.

So this is what I'm working with:
-2x Mylar grow tents. One 1.4mx1.4mx2m which I'm going to use as a veg room, and a 3mx3mx2m for where all the magic happens.
-2x 110w Sun Mate Powerplant CFLs for Veg room. I grew the mothers for the clones I have under these, I was fairly impressed with the results.
-1x 1000w HPS Light kit
-1x ridiculously large Phat Filter and fan to match.
-2x ACME NFT grow tanks. I played around with the idea of building my own like I did with my last DWC system, but these thing just looked so easy and convenient, I couldn't resist.
-Full Range of Cyco nutes

These clones are about 3 weeks old and have been in the tank for about 10 days. They are looking really healthy. There are acouple not growing like the rest, I think this is due to un even light coverage. But I've had to make do with the 2 sets of CFLs for the time being because we have had a really hot summer here and I wouldn't be able to control the temps if I had the HID in there. Hopefully it will cool down in a couple of weeks and I'll put the big light in.

Any opinions, suggestions or questions, let me know, I could use the input. Happy Tokingbongsmilie

Nice set up. Where did you get the NFT setup like that? How big is the tent they are in? I have thought of building my own tent but think it might be better to buy. How much was it?

I got the ACME NFT tanks from my local hydro shop. They were about 250 bucks each. they are in a 3mx3m tent. I think it's worth buying instead of building coz having the light proof zippers and all the vent holes and intakes make it very simple to set up. The tent set me back about $550.

I'm going to do a res change tonight, and according to CYCO's feed chart, I need to put in this:

Has anyone ever used this stuff or something similar? It's really high in phosphoric acid and it's suppose to make vegetative growth explode. The way the guy at my local hydro shop was going on about it made me alittle sceptical.

I'm subscribed, looks like we are on the same pace and it will be cool to see how they do with the different nutes, etc.

Happy Growing!

Yeah Mate, should be interesting to compare results.

Now that the weather has cooled off alittle down here I've put in the HID. The CFLs couldn't give me anywhere near the coverage I needed and the plants were starting to lean towards the light. I'll post more pics over the weekend.

the last couple days of summer have been alittle warm, thank god it's ever. The plants were alittle heat stressed, but they are still going very strong.

Some more pics, they got alittle nute burned but are doing well now. Been super cropping so thats why some of the tops are bent.

I'm all about The cyco nutes. I'm on my second grow with it now and I'm loving it. I pulled 1.3 grams per watt with just cyco and 2000 Watts and 1 light mover. Check out my grows on you tube as. new light rail with cyco grow. Week 5 of flower

Wicked set up dude and nice looking plants.

From what i know, the cyco XL is super phosphoric acid which actually burns the tiny root hairs and then forces the plant to shoot thicker roots, that in turn creates bigger stems and thicker plants. Flowamasta swears by it and his plants are just ridiculous! Yours look nice and lush too :-)
