Im coming to the end (hopefully) of a similar project. I’d suggest spray foam insulation. I used both foam it green and tiger foam. Tiger foam has the far superior spray hose and attachments. Lots of wasted time, material and money with the “foam-it-green”

As xox said I would 100% insulate the walls with something that has r-vlaue. I'm in a michigan basement, insulated my walls with R13 rolls and did foam board over the top. Super stable temps and easy to monitor. Not sure of your geographic location but I think a mini-split might be overkill. I have a 12X15, run led's, CO2, 3 Hurricane fans, dehumidifier and pump in cool air from the basement. Room temp is 78 during the day and humidity is 45% at all times....don't overthink it and invest a ton of money on the first round. Find out what works for you and upgrade later if needed.

or save a ton of time and money and stud your room 16 inches on center at the studs and get roll out insulation. It's a grow room, don't need to hire a company to spray foam

Totally respect and appreciate that approach! I personally know that if I don’t go all out (especially since I’m moving from tents to sealed rooms) I’ll kick myself later and end up re doing it. I decided to go the DIY spray foam kit route because it allowed me to work in stages all the while maintaining a perpetual flower room.
