what are the advantages/disadvantages to using 12/12 to veg rather than 24/0 or 18/6?

Besides the fact that you wouldnt be vegging, youd be flowering?

18/6 and 24/0 are to make your plant grow.
12/12 is to make your plant flower.

ive researched but i didnt understand why people did that. will your plant be smaller by starting with 12/12

If you start with 12/12 from seedling your plants SHOULD grow into sticks of buds.
