12/12 from seedling? (help)

i was wanting to do about 4 plants
12/12 from seed.

does anyone know about this?

through my journal there are a lot of guys who are doing 12/12 from seed (or early) with cfls

truthfully you might want to give them 18/6 until they are out of the soil and a few inches, then hit 12/12

well ive got some questions first.

1. how much light do i need for 4 plants (12/12 from seed)
2. how long will it take?
3. will i yeild over a 1/4 oz????


im going to do 4 plants like this.

under maybe 6-8 40w CFL's.. ???

1. depends on how you are doing them, like what set up youre doing... if you do a rubbermaid set up you can get 2-3 plants with 6 bulbs... if you do a bath tub you need 3 cfls per plant or so id guess... so 10-12... for 6-8 you might want to to consider 3 plants

2. takes usually an extra 1 to 2 weeks longer then they state when you buy the strain... if it states 7 weeks of flowering, then you'll need 9... however youre not vegging so you gain time doing that

3. yes you can get that easy, look around the site to get an idea of how people yeild... ive seen guys get an oz. off one plant with 4 lights, so im guessing you can get 1.5-2 if this is your first time with 4 plants... tons of people disagree but it seems to flip both ways... if you do it properly then you shouldn't have problems... and it totally depends on the strain as well

is their any way to tell if its sativa or indica buy looking at a bag off the streets?
i want to grow some sativa in this grow.

woah 2x2 man, id reconsider 4 plants, cause then you wont have enough room to mylar the sides so there is a lot of reflection or have lights on the side... you might be able to get 2 plants in there

also you dont want sativa because they grow tall and you wont have enough room for a bunch of those...

well i got about a 10'x10' area.
but i want to flower from seeds, so i wont need much more than 2'x2' will i?
this is going to be my first grow,
next one, im going big, maybe a 400w HPS.
but for now i want a small project to fuck with till i get the hang of thingss.

2x2 is not enough room for 4 plants if thats what youre thinking
this is just a guess, but id think youd need 4x4 or 5x5 for those four smaller plants, but the bigger you get the more lights youll need

check out peoples grow journals they are the best indication of what is possible in what space, and you can judge based on how much you want

the plants only get like a foot tall when you flower from seed.
ima do 2 plants, 2 week veg.
then when i put them in flower and 2 little seedlings for 12/12.
i cant seem to find any grows for 12/12 from seed.
or early 12/12

hey im doing a 12/12 from seeds right now they are about 4-6 inches each and its only been like 15 days. I think its fine to do it small. i did this because i have 1 plant thats flowering at about 50cm. so i put 6 more plants from seeds next to it. im growing in a area thats 2X2 as well. Everything is fine so i dont see any problem in you doing this grow.
