12 wks flowering and no amber trichs

Amber trichs is a sign of a late harvest they should be 50% milky white. 50% clear for peak ripeness and will turn amber during the cureing process.

12 weeks is a bit long. What strain? How about the hairs? What % of the have died and turned brown?

If the trichs are predominantly cloudy, it will be a matter of days before they start to turn amber. It might be an idea to start flushing, that way you're extra prepared.

A pic really would help though.

WE NEED PICTURES. Pure sativas can take upto 16 weeks for full maturity so you may have another week or so till they really start to show up. Amber trichs dont tell you the plant is done though, amber tricjs start to develop as soon as 3 weeks into flower.

unno about 16... 14 maybe... and uuh.. sure they do turn more amber after harvest... but they do turn amber near end to harvest...

Sativas can and do run up to 16 weeks. And they will turn amber on the plant. If you pick it with the 50/50 clear/cloudy as earlier mentioned it is premature. I know waiting sucks. You can make that call yourlef. If most of the hairs have changed you should be fine. Cloudy with some amber is always going to be stronger then cloudy with clear.
