12000 watt gavita DE pro line e series slim line grow

Whats the difference between the 1000w and 1150+w knobs on the DE fixtures.

The bulbs say 1000w so Ive never messed with turning the knob to 1150 on my Gavita DE's or 1200w on the Nanoluxx's. How much extra umol's are they putting out? Cause the bulbs claim ~2100umols

I believe the Phillips bulbs claim 2400 on 1150. I'm not sure but I run at 1150 when I can control temps, it seems brighter to me.

i jewed out recently and bought 2 hortilux double ended for $70 instead of my usual philips/ushio de for $95.

1000w is 1950 umol and 1150w is 2100umol for the hortilux
1kw is 2100umol and 1150w is indeed 2400umol for the philips and ushio.
I see why its $25 less now and not worth it but good to know from now on.

your 3 ton split is containing the heat from 6 1150w's and all the dehumidifiers in a fully sealed room? what brand is it? thats an absolute beast of a split.

i got 2 split 3 tons in my 10 DE. went overkill just in case

I'm at 18 lbs and still got 5 totes full of branches to trim, gonna be 21 or 22 off 6 lights. Blew my mind really, I now think 4 per light is possible on a flawless run.

Thats funny you say that about 4. I was skeptical but my buddy who sold me these lights brand news in the box for half price. He had ordered 500 of them!! Pallets!! For a big permitted project in CA they never got the permits so he liquidation them all. Anyway he hits 3per steady but has said that it is possible to.hit 4per with the right strain!!. That's amazing man the fact that you got that type of yeild!! Thank you for noting the amount of plants and how I have it packed in. Thats been the key to my high yielding dep runs. In a 12x24 I put 120 plants and flip early. This room has around 180 plants in it. Under 12 lights. In 5 gals. I have decided to sell my atlas 2 and go with the atlas 3 controller with my c02 8 burner generator with air flow

Modified mints from sin city, it's gmo x Sin mint Cookies. I've had the mother a couple years now and she is hands down my favorite smoke. Strong hard hitting buzz but not couch locked, great smell, and good yields.

This is my first time running c02 I really wanted 3 a light as a personal goal, I didn't think I had it. I thought with my set up I'd be lucky to get 3 a light since I only have two rows of lights and don't get as much overlap as the big commercial gardens. I'm atleast gonna hit 3.5 per fixture which I honestly didn't think I'd ever do.

Ac barely keeps up atleast during summer might work better now that it's cool. My covered gavita sensor says 82 degrees and the trolmaster sensor (does not have cover like the gavita) says 85 when I'm running 1150. I lowered wattage at the end so that I could finish with cooler temps.

AC is a Mr. Cool DIY 36k that I installed. I don't know how long it's gonna last but I'm gonna run it til it dies. Had a bunch of oil in my sump bucket earlier, took ac cover off checked it out seems to be working fine and not oily, messed with dehuey forever as well doesn't seem oily. I guess maybe it's the sump pump oil leaking out still not sure yet, hope thats it cause a pump is a lot cheaper than new dehuey or AC.

talk about calculating it to the tee

do you get like 4-5 degree temp differences in your room from one end to another? like the opposite area from the split? i installed a couple more hurricane wall fans and have them at every few feet now but same issue.

then again i have the fans on speed 1.... wondering if i should just bump them all to 3 if itll cut down the temp differences

Yes it's a few degrees warmer at one end of the room, I'm gonna add some more fans, maybe 2 Schaeffer 20 inch fans. They are supposed to move a lot of air and you set em to make a vortex effect in the room, supposed to replaced wall fans altogether.

Can you offer a bit of info on how many square feet per fixture and how far off the canopy to use these? I just got a couple Nanolux 1200DE's and not sure how to best utilize them.

Second layer of trellis installed by me and the wifey. Shall come a third layer very soon.

I wonder why my 36000 btu mini split can do double the lights? Is it because i have an in take fan that dumps in cool ass mountain air? Even in September when it was hot the room never went above 80. I did insulate it well. Also I have a window unit in there that previous tenants left that is 14k btu so that does bring me up to 50k btus. But right now and for awhile I only run my mini split.

5x5 at 36 inches is optimal, I run 5x6 footprint right now at 30-36 Inches.

It's a Mr cool unit just not that powerful, but yeah In winter I can get by with no AC if I want, I'm setting up my other room right now and air cooling it til I get another AC. But I like to run fully sealed if I can in my first flower room so I don't go through c02 as fast since I have a tank not a burner.

I have an exhuast fan, up high at the end of the building that pulls out the hot air, I'm figuring since c02 sinks ill just run my exhuast on a timer. With the 8 burner. What would you do if you were me run my 8 burner c02 generator with the atlas 3 controller and exhuast? Or keep it simple and just rock no c02 that way I am? I thought negative pressure and exhuast is important for not letting mold spores settle? Have some air moving.

im sure its still going to pull out co2 from the rm even if it does fall onto the plants.

co2s a game changer but you got a semi sealed setup going on. youll be losing out on alot of co2 when you pull the air out with your fan. but you dont have to swap tanks like us since you have a burner.

try it out but co2s meant to be used in a fully sealed room.

i dont think you can fully seal your room and be able to cool it with a burner + 12 DE lights with a 3 ton split and a 14k btu wall ac. so fully sealing your room isnt an option. but try out one way. if you dont like it try the other way.

Thanks homie good comment. I appreciate it. I think your correct I'm pushing in cool ass mountain air at night and I wanna run my lights at 1150 watts. I am going to try it out. I wonder if the plants will be able to handle 80F with the c02 or even 85? But they are so healthy and flowering so well. Inches of overnight growth and flower formation.

Nice setup... following along and looking forward to updates.

I notice the plants at the back of the room in your walkway. How are they developing in comparison to the plants directly under the lights? They look a little smaller but not sure if everything in that room is the same age.

I also run a semi sealed room but only run the exhaust when the lights are out. I have my exhaust hooked up to a humidity sensor so it only comes on when lights go out and there a spike in humidity. It works great paired with a burner as it will remove any "off gasing" from the burner, quickly lowers the humidity spike so my dehumidifier doesn't have to work to hard, and clears out the excess co2. I vent mainly to deal with the humidity at lights out... i'm not 100% its needed but its a fail safe if the burner does decide to start fail and put off some nasty uncombusted NG.

In your setup the only thing I would change is ditch the wall banger and get another 36k mini-split and your all set to seal that room up. Get a burner, not bottled and run your current exhaust hooked up to a humidity sensor. Your gonna love not having to swap bottles and its gonna be cheaper. If you can tap into a NG line for the burner even better.
