125 cfl to 250 hps

im currently in day 44 of veging and my plants are looking good, im using a 125cfl for now but ive got a 250hps on the way. Am i ok to put them on 12/12 now and start flowering and replace the bulb when i get it or should i just stop being impatient and just wait for the 250?

Wats up DT, I don't see why not. As long as the schedule is right the light wont make to much of a difference. They may jus stretch a bit more. do u plan to keep the cfl in the room with the hps? Lets see some pics and give us some details DT open up man. Happy Growing!!!

If it's a matter of just a few days I would wait for the 250.

nah theres no deadline guys, my hps was ment to arrive today but some doosh from a hydro shop decided to add an Extra £12 to delivery because of where i live, and he only decided to tell me today! youd think theyd hook a brother up! so... told him where to ram it. anyway, i think they could do with a bit more streatching still looking a bit on the small side. Wont be keeping the cfl on, will just be switching it to the hps dont have another socket thingy for it. Cheers for the input dudes!

I would kick it into 12/12 while still under the blue light. That helps control the stretch some.

just gonna kick it into 12/12 streatch it for a bit to start it of. the hps should be with me in 2 days or so.... what you mean by training?

He means like topping or LST or supercropping, etc. Stuff you want to do in veg.

I was really leaning towards LSTing b/c of their height. Its never to late to tie the tops down.

havnt really considered doing any, ive done alot of crash course youtubing and what not on supercroping and topping and that but this is my 1st grow so decided not to incase i go and fuck the whole game up!

Cant really go go wrong with lst, u literally jus tie some twine or string around the 2nd or 3nd top node and tie it towards the edge of the pot. That's it, and that little bit of stress will send her into a frenzy.
