125 W CFL support 3 plants?

cfls needs to be 4"-6" away from the plant to be effective, if you have a fan blowing on the plant all the time you can put the cfls a little closer but the leaves will burn if they touch the bulb. i recommend getting a few ~45w cfl's with the shields on them so they can direct all their light in plants direction. you should have them in as any places around the plant as possible; one at the top, three around the middle, and few at the bottom. having only one big 125w cfl will make the leaves near it burn, and the rest of the leaves will stretch for cuz it will be too far, thats why recommend more of the ~smaller 45w ones. i use to use eighteen 24w cfls (about 450w total). its actually really cheap on the electricity, i recommend full spectrum bulbs also. keep in mind that a 400w hps kit will only cost $100. good luck

yeah i know how to grow with cfl´s man.
thing is i allways end up with just ONE single plant. i wanna know if its worth my time puttin 3 in my growroom (wich is kinda small)
i throws in a couple of smaller cfl´s when bloomtime comes but thats when the growspace gets cramped :S

As for getting an oz or two a plant, yes. I have seen (1) 125W CFL grow 5 plants in a closet. (not large plant, but small sized plants)

well i say hell yeah its worth it, average yeild is .5g per watt, if your good you can get 1g per watt. 3-5oz sounds nice to me

LST your baby, i always have to work with a small space in winter like 3'x4'... but then outdoor season comes and i cant say anything else makes me that happy... then get to really grow

i use a 125watt cfl for one plant then 250watt cfl for flower on one plant, i have done two plants in the same lighting but find the buds to be airy and not very dense you will need to lst or all you will get is popcorn buds below the top

thank you all for the replies
but i got one more question. does the bulbs get weak fast? if so, how fast?
my last grow did not satisy me as i only got 25 G .... maybe an ounce
first time i grew i got 50.

well the light intensity diminishes very fast as it gets further away from the plant. i say that there's only a 10" radius of useful light around the cfl... and they need to be 4" away from the plant, so there is only about 6" of useful light for the plant. thats why i recommend the cfls with a reflector on side. also i dont know what strain you want to grow, but you should look into the indicas because they are short and dense, seedboutique has a wide range of seeds, i recommend aurora indica(their strongest indica) for your space limits. its some potent stuff no joke its knock out weed

10" radius thing is for a 24w cfl. the bigger ones like 45w need to be 6" away but their useful radius is like 16". by useful radius i mean; anything within that useful radius will produce nice dense nugs, anything further then that will be making popcorn nugs. a fan pointed at your plant will allow you to move the cfls closer.... i had mine 2" away but i also had a 6" fan blowing hard on my plant too. its really good to have a fan pointed at it cuz it will make the stems and leaves thicker and stiffer = more bud carrying capacity.

i keep my cfl no more than 1-2 inches away. they can almost touch your plant as long as you have airflow between the canopy and the bulb, i would not be keeping my cfl 6 inches away unless i wanted airy budz

yeah i got these leftover seeds from my last grow. Blueberrie. 80/20 indica and they grow short. not like the WW i had.
but i meen do i have to buy a new lightbulb soon? cause it seems its gettin weaker by the minute :S its about a year old.
i usually have the bulb 2-3 inches away and nuthin gets burnt :) have my fan to thank for that

After a year I would replace it if I could. If that is a single 125 watt bulb, I would hang it vertical and put the plants in a circle or triangle around it for flower. Not over the top of them but lower it so the light from the sides of the cfl is hitting the sides of the plants.

I can get my 55 watt flouros within 1 or 2 inches of plants without burn. If you keep the plants short like a foot tall or a little more, I could see you getting 3 oz. if they are good yielding strain.
