13’x30’ 8k de build, 32 site DIY top feed hydro

Cookies are standing tall today loving life and should start to chunk up in no time.



Picked up my white cake clone last night and put her In a 5 gallon pot in the tray with the others. Looking foreword to growing this strain.



Chem 4 canopy is just huge, going to grab some trellis in the next few days and see about getting it above them.



Trunks for days.

Did a agressive de-foliation yesterday on the chem’s and light de-foliation on the cookies along with a little supercropping to keep everything level. The chems are soooo dense that the branches underneath just knot together trying to get around the huge leafs up top so i de-foliate plants like this. I made the mistake last round not doing this and they where a knotted mess.

Noticed the upper leafs had a slight claw and some slight edge cupping indicative of heat stress, my room temps are perfect so figured waterings where getting to low as the plants grow larger so I upped the frequency to every two hours from every three and duration from five min to ten min we will see how they like it. PPM is at 950 cogos original base A&B with clear rez to sterilize.

Cookies after trim, not much trimming on these but they are not very leafy anyway. they look like they are gaining momentum and making gains daily. Hopefully in a week they will be a nice enough size to fill this side up nicely.



Branching is great on the chems, now they have a clear path to the canopy.


Stocks are beast already. Larger than my last run with this strain, going to be tree trunks by the end of it.

Last rounds chem stock after harvest and that was from seed.

Everything is looking great today, got water schedule dialed in, algae on tops of the perlite is almost completely gone. Res is down to 70 gallons today so they took down over half the res since water change. ppm is solid 5.8 and Ppm’s are solid at 900.

Ive been doing soil for like 6 years now
I want to try something differen

Is this considered ebb and flow?

Right now about 35 days since pulling them out the dome.

No, this is top feed. They water from the top through the blue rings and it flows straight through the pot. The trays are only there to collect the runoff and return it to the res.
If anything it is more NFT than anything.

You basically have the same set up as im going to build with the tables
Except im going to try growing with NO media
Making a mock up system "mini" tonight

Going to let some clones veg for a week or two and throw em in my flower room to see if it works before i build a big one

Haha that makes sense to me now, I was trying to visualize it, but if you are anything like me you already have it mocked up in the brain. I’m still playing with my water schedule. I’m thinking I’m going to have to run water almost all the time lol my girls will be fine for a few days than show signs of heat stress, I bump up the water, they good for a few days then it starts again lol so ya basically a nft at that point.

Well got to the bottom of my underwatering situation, the pump is just not enough to feed half (16) the room.... they all had flow just not nearly enough. That explains why increasing the duration helped for a while
.... cut the manifold linking the two sides together, capped it and ran only 8 and it had great pressure. So looks like I will be adding 2 more solinoid valves and running the room on 4 zones. Just glad I fought it.

Its all good i had great luck with nft before
Except for cloged emitters
Definitely not my cleanest run
As this was a throw together setup .

But you can grow a decent bush in a fencetube
I think there aare 12 different strains
As this was a mother run

Again not an exmple to follow but it still made weed

This is a serious passion of mine, well a addiction really lol I’m just glad I have people around me who supported it otherwise I would be pretty miserable lol.
