1400watts on one timer

hey everone.. okay just would like to knoe if i can run 1400wats on one timer.... i have a 400 mh and a 1000 watt mh,and was hoping that i could run them both of of one timer for 2 days well i im out of town. i would run it through a power bar off of one timer can this be done for 2 days???? (not even two day's just one 24hr peroid.)

As long as your breaker can handle the Amps you are fine. Count the amps of everything on that power strip. You should have at least 1/2 amp extra on that breaker.

How much the timer can handle has nothing to do with how much your breaker can...
Most timers are only rated for 1250 watts. Those lights will draw up to 1700 watts with the ballast power included. HTGSupply has a 1750watt timer. Anything less will be a good way to start a fire.

i think US has a 13 amp limit doesnt it? well, id check what the lights are pulling and what ur circuit can handle.

why do u have a 400mh and a 1000mh? i would of thought u would of had a 1000hps!

edit: do they both have to be run? can u not just leave the 1000 on for 24 hours whilst ur away? set it up when u get back?
