Hello I'm just wandering if anyone would know what my yield potential would be with what I'm working with, I got 6 ak-47 plants a 150 watt hps light , happy frog soil and foxfarm organic fertilzer for veg and foxfarm tiger bloom extra strength for flowering. I may throw in another 150 watt light or just get a 400 watt hps. I'm growing in a 3x3x3 area and my plants are lst'd, so let me know what y'all think. The pic is a few weeks old befor I lst'd.

Hey, Akman,

So, I gotta start this off by saying that this is one of "those questions".

Growers always want to know the answer to this question starting out, and the answer is that it always depends.

It depends on how close you get the light to the plants, how big the plants are, how the strain yields, how good your environment is, how stable your environment is, how often you water or don't water, how good you are at mixing the proper nutrients, etc.

A good goal to shoot for would be to get them all the way through flower, free of insects, free of mold, and smoke the shit out of that first crop regardless of the yield! :)

If you had to press me on it, I would say that LSTing your plants will definitely boost your yield, and with the multiple tops it provides, you can get upwards of a half ounce per plant.

BUT, that depends on everything I mentioned before.

I wish you all the luck in the world. :bigjoint:

May the grow gods be with you.

If this is your first time I wouldn't worry about yield. Just focus on getting the quality down and then work on yield. I made the mistake trying to yield the first round and always came out crappy. Keep the plant healthy as much as you can research more. I would just grab the 400w instead of the 2nd 150w. I wouldn't grow more than 2 under the 150w or keep 6 of your plants small to get the density you are looking for. Get the experience in it and you will know what to do next. Everyone goes through that. Enjoy it as much as you can and happy growing.

They seem to be branching so they could be a little farther from the light,
i would trim the lower branches, mabe make clones then encourage them to get taller , water frequently. I use a 150 watt hps sun system and
i had 3 plants in buckets until they got almost 2 feet tall, they were still a foot from the light at least but healthy, if you want more yield you need bigger pots, regular watering, good medium and adequate drainage . focus on vegetative new growth for now its as important as flowering , or more.

you can get hydroton claypebbles and layer the bottom of the pot or mix them in the soil like perlite etc. Hydro could be harder than soil but mixing them is also an option.
