150w HPS/MH question

I ordered a 150w HPS and a MH bulb a couple years back but never got to use them because I didn't have a ballast for it but thought I could run it out of a regular 150w socket.

Where can I find a fixture/ballast for a 150w bulb?

Or how can I get these to work in general?

I read somewhere that said you shouldn't use a lower wattage bulb on a higher watt ballast. I have a few spare 1000w hoods and ballasts laying around, as well as a 400w and 600w.

Any input would be awesome, would like to use a 150w in a Micro Grow setup instead of my LED UFO.

Yes, you're correct. Do NOT use low wattage bulbs in higher wattage ballasts as this is unsafe and can cause blowouts and start fires. If you don't mind magnetic ballasts i would check out HTG 150w. it might come as a kit only but it is only like 80$-100$ for everything i believe. Your bulbs should fit that fixture.

Amazon sells one called "ipower ballast" 8 believe you can even get a Veg and flower light , ballast , hood and all for about 200 , the flower light isn't the greatest but it's not shit , lots of skeptical post about them but nothing recent that is bad , my past two grows have been mint , currently have a star dawgxLemonG under the 600 watt right now and it's about 3 foot and 2 months old , 2 weeks into flower , also have a mini tent with autos in it under a 70dollar 300wattLED from Amazon that is great and has done me great for a while ,

Which 300watt LED are you using and have you flowered a plant under it?

Using low wattage bulb with high wattage ballast WILL cause a fire. And it wil happen when you least expect.

You might find a used ballast on Craigslist or eBay?
